CHOCOLATE MORON RECIPE | The BEST SUMAN MORON of Leyte | Moron Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
CHOCOLATE MORON:
1 1/4 cup glutinous rice
3/4 cup rice flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 1/2 cup coconut milk
PLAIN MORON:
1 1/4 cup glutinous rice
3/4 cup rice flour
1/2 cup condensed milk
1 cup coconut milk
1/4 cup chopped roasted peanuts
We will be using:
Banana leaves
Kitchen string
INSTRUCTIONS
FOR CHOCOLATE MORON
1. In a non-stick pan, combine the glutinous rice flour, rice flour, brown sugar and cocoa powder. Combine the dry ingredients properly.
2. Add the coconut milk and mix until well combined.
3. Turn on to medium heat and cook while constanly stirring until it forms a dough.
4. Remove from the pan and set aside.
FOR PLAIN MORON
5.Using the same pan, combine the glutinous rice flour, rice flour and condensed milk. Mix until well combined.
6. Turn on to medium heat and cook while constanly stirring until it forms a dough.
7. Remove from the pan and set aside.
8.. Clean and slightly heat the banana leaves, place 2 tablespoon of the plain mixture, form into a log. Do the same procedure for the chocolate mixture.
9. Place the two mixture side by side, add roasted peanuts and twist to form a two-colored log. Tie a string on both ends to secure.
10. Steam for 20-25 minutes.
11. Serve while it's warm. Enjoy!
