I made pork chops, au-gratin potatoes and broccoli 2 weeks ago for when my daughter-in-law got home from work. I just pulled out the second batch of sugar cookies when she arrived. She said one of the best parts of having dinner ready was how warm and inviting the house smelled. Mission accomplished!

These look delicious! Since the holidays ended I’ve only made a batch of your peanut butter blossoms recipe. Hershey’s kisses were back to the regular silly prices, so I used 4 chocolate chips in each cookie instead. No one complained. 🥰

I made my favorite chocolate chip cookies. I use chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, toasted walnuts with a dash of cinnamon, and old fashioned oats. (Sometimes I add unsweetened cocoa powder.) They are so good and this way makes them a little more hearty.

The dough is rolled in powdered sugar so as the cookies bake they spread out and form a crackled appearance which makes a lovely presentation. One of my family's favorites!

These cookies look amazing Catherine! 😍 I love all your cookie recipes! 😘 I've tried quite a few of them! Especially around Christmas! 😋 I haven't made any cookies since Christmas. I've had a cold since early in January and it got a little better but then came back. I'm just in the stage of not being able to smell or taste so I haven't had much of an appetite. Living in a small town, we only have Walmart and HEB for groceries. But I discovered the chocolate chip cookies at HEB and I have to say they are the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever gotten at a grocery store bakery! ☺️ When I want a quick fix, I run to HEB for these cookies and they do the trick! The one thing I miss is nuts! Pecans or walnuts would be perfect in them but just having the chocolate chips still makes them a great treat! 😚 I have a giant bag of chocolate chips from Sam's and have been wanting to make cookies! But until I can smell and taste again, I'm afraid they'd be a waste on me. Whenever I'm looking for an idea for something to cook, I love going to your website to find recipes! I know I'll find quick and easy recipes that are always delicious! I still watch all your videos and share them with friends and family! Vickie, I wanted to let you know that I went through the same illness. I thought it was the flu or a cold. I had a covid at home test kit and both my husband and I tested positive for covid. We had never had covid so we didn't know what to expect. I lost my taste and smell but my husband didn't. It's been 3 weeks now and we're both feeling better, and I have finally got my taste and smell back. I tell you what helped me of course we was taking DayQuil and NightQuil. What helped me to get my taste and smell back, I took my Biofreeze I kept sniffing it even though I couldn't smell it. Then I would take Vicks Vapor Rub and put on the outer edge of my nose. That Menthol in both of those start waking up my smell and then my tastes starting coming back. Let me give you a tip, throw your toothbrush away and get you a new one. I bought a cheap Pack at Walmart and I would use one about every two or three days and then I pitch it and get a new one. Because you can re-infect yourself over and over with the virus, flu virus, cold virus, bronchitis, strep throat, laryngitis, sinus infection. I also had plans to make oatmeal scotchie cookies but I put that off since I couldn't taste and smell. Now that I got it back I'm going to be making a batch of those cookies and I'm going to be making this recipe of Catherine's peanut butter chocolate cookies! Those look so delicious! I hope Vickie this helps you to get better and I will be praying for you!

I make Pick-Me-Ups a lot. Those and the Chocolate-Oatmeal boiled cookies are 2 of my favorite sweet treats. Yesterday I made some chicken parmesan and a salad. I'm under the weather right now so I mostly lay around. I get a fever every day. I can't tell you why because it would be too gross to explain on a channel about delicious food. I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday. That seems a long time to me because my problem has gotten worse no matter how much triple antibiotic ointment I use.
