Arianna P lmao birdemic is completely real (the second one was more tongue in cheek and more self-aware), but "real" isnt the same as "hollywood blockbuster". most are homemade with only a couple thousand dollars budget and the ones which are on a bigger budget were acceptable for the time or just had a couple bad actors/actresses. even looking at some of the best movies from the 80s or earlier, they still have questionable acting a lot of the time because that was normal at the time.

What always interests me the most about movies like Samurai Cop, is if the director thought he was making like a super badass hit movie? Did he actually expect it to be the next Lethal Weapon? Obviously it’s easy to think “oh no cmon nobody could seriously think this is good” but then you hear Tommy from the Room or the Birdermic director talk and they seem to genuinely not understand why people think it’s bad.
