@@awqweird why so many people are convinced that Lokix is good :D it has mediocre typing and pretty terrible stats, the only reason it was doing something is huge power (and the fact that these blocks don't run protect on their mons) lmaoo

@@luigimanzelli3786 it has dual priority stab that are strong for priority moves and also stab on both u-turn and knock off. It's very uncommon to use protect in singles as well. It's just one of the best revenge killers of all time and tinted lense or huge power in this case means that even if you want to swap out to save your mon and go into a resist you still take like half of your health

​@MrDeerbomb They don't pick, they roll the abilities randomly. Depending on which channel, this friend group does it per Pokemon or a group of 6 that they then designate which Pokemon gets what. So either Pat rolled truant and had to give it to someone or gave Zekrom truant because it didn't matter, Zekrom wasn't coming out anyway. ETA: ahh, "great tusk is where I got that from", so they did "ability from any pokemon that shares your typing". I can't keep up with what each individual channel does lol. But yeah they don't choose it freely, they have boundaries for what they can choose.

Asking to trade probopass for zekrom gave me an idea. For a new style of "then we fight", each player chooses their own 6 randomized starters only to trade them at the end of the selection. Each pokemon is numbered 1-6 so a player could be like "I'll trade 2 and 5" and those numbers are locked and can't be traded again, once the trades are done the battle begins and whoever wins/loses gets a choice on whether they want to trade 1 or 2 pokemon for the next battle. It would mean that whoever gets to choose to trade for round 2 would have to memorize which pokemon correlates to each number.
