The bible does mention the (1) 3 Heavens (2) Jesus said "many mansions" etc - so there is "biblical" evidence even without the lds further teachings (however no christian church has really examined or caught on to its meaning) Most churches are really more "historical" and traditional (which isnt a bad start) But those yearning for more truth will seek more (and will find it).

I covenanted to slit my throat for one and to obey my husband. Neither of those are done anymore in the temple so have the covenants changed and the qualifier going to the celestial kingdom are different for me then for my chilren?

You are right, They don't do that anymore (that was 30 year ago) It was just symbolic (however I get it) Especially in these days! (especially for outsiders looking in). The jews did it back in the day too (as more of a symbol of loyalty). Also it just wasnt for women (back then, but men did it too) Sometimes I wonder if older people are held to "higher" standards than the youth (considering what they've grown up in)? I guess we just have to continue living the best of what we know, taught and feel good about.

He states that “The Lord” taught that the only way into the Celestial Kingdom is for a man and a woman to be sealed together and keep their covenants. This was taught by the LDS “Lord” the true Lord taught there is no marriage in Heaven. This is just one of the MANY examples that the LDS faith teaches a different Lord than the Bible teaches.

Love the threat. Snake Oil Face Nelson always forgets to disguise the 🔫 to your head as 'a promise.' Wanna see your family ever again? You better do exactly as i say. You choose NOT to obey me, you choose NOT to see your family ever again! AND you'll live in a little hut with a tin roof! No nonsense Nelson: UP AGAINST THE WALL MF!🤣

"Is not the sectarian world justified in their doctrine generally proclaimed, that after the resurrection there will be neither male nor female sex? It is a logical conclusion for them to reach and is apparently in full harmony with what the Lord has revealed regarding the kingdom's into which evidently the vast majority of mankind is likely to go."

He is likeable (I know his son, and both are good people) He (Pres nelson) was a heart doctor before (came up with some life saving procedures!) My dad (also a heart doctor - worked with him and wrote a paper on heart research - to help people) Sometimes knowing someone in person is the best way to get to know them (vs hearing something online from a person that is against them).

So, negative commenters; how are your lives really going? Are you handling stress and disappointment well? How often do you feel joy? Do you struggle to keep your moods up or battle anxiety, hopelessness or depression? I just notice there are a lot of people here who think bashing the church is somehow going to do something for them that feels satisfying, but all I see is a group of unhappy, miserable complainers who've never truly sought knowledge from God and therefore have nothing to compare it to. How can you know what the truth is if you don't really want to know? Too many people here seem to care more about convincing themselves they are right than actually being right. .

I can’t speak for them, but I can tell you that my experience growing up in the church was a constant struggle with self-hatred, needless guilt, strained relationships with my parents, and an omnipresent sense of shame and isolation. The pain that this organization put me through for experiencing normal sexual development through my teenage years led me to the brink of suicide. For six years I fought myself and begged Heavenly Father for help… and guess what? He never fucking helped me, all I got was more shame, more pain, more hate… I’m getting out of this cult as soon as I can because any organization that has made me feel this much agony doesn’t deserve my attendance or my money.

It because he follows Satan. Mormons are false religion created by a conman with a sex addiction. This cult wouldn’t exist if they truly followed God. But it does and they truly follow Satan and call him god.

Well since my parents who are leaders in the church and also have been abusive towards me throughout my life and I've had to go nc just to recover my mental and physical health, do I want to be in heaven with them forever .. 🤔 nooooooooooo 😂😂😂😆😆😂😂

If they (parents) did this and are in the church you should confront them (or go to their bishop)! Just because some goes to church it doesnt necessarily save anyone (unless people learn something from it and apply it). I understand! (I've been hurt by many there too)! Its tough to keep the faith - while seeing abusive or self righteous people. (The doctrine is true, but people sometimes take forever to get it)!
