This has got to be the best video I have come across for a description on uses for threads for a serger. I have the BabyLock for some time now but haven't really been using it as I have just moved ad been so busy. Thanks for the video. Hope to find more of your videos. Please keep them coming.

If I'm using the serger to take in clothes (not for decoration), would I typically use the same color for both loopers and both needles? Meaning I need to buy 4 spools of each color I'll need??

If you are finishing seams for garments, technically, the only thread that would show would be the left most needle thread. The other looper threads will not be visible so you can do with what you have on hand. This had never occurred to me until just recently. If you like you can use the same family colored threads but if you can't see them, no big deal. 😉

The tread on each spool are called either Stacked wound or cross wound.
