Jim, I'm almost 100% sure you would love the American leather shooting glove. I'm using it for years now shooting 59# on my wind warrior and you will absolutely love it

Hi, could you drop a link to it? I’d like to check it out. Cheers if you can.

I shoot with glove with my longbow, and with a tab with my barebow. I like it ‘cause it seems to me a very different archery and the different gear it’s a part of it. I used to shoot longbow with a deerskin with cordovan, that I like it so much, but recently I purchased a kangoo’s leather glove, and I like it soooo much! Durable and very soft, I can feel the string so well but my hand doesn’t hurt. Try one if you can. Maybe it would be thinner for a very strong bow, I shoot 52# and for me at my poundage is very very comfortable. Hi all!

Used to shoot with a glove - went to my country's 3d nationals shooting a glove. I probably tried half a dozen before I found one that really worked for me, the leather was smooth, not so thick as to be cumbersome, not so thin as to cause nerve damage. At Nationals it rained every single day of the tournament. In the early part of the days when it wasn't raining and my glove was dry I was shooting fantastic. Good release, clean and smooth off my fingers. When the rain started there was no way to keep the glove dry. The leather got that wet leather sticky feeling, increasing the friction on the string. The creases in the folds became canyons with the exacerbation of the saturated, swollen leather. This lead to a lot of plucking, bad shots, and a lower scores. To weather proof my system I switched to a tab. Took some getting used to but I won't be going back to a glove.

After shooting for years with a glove I picked up at the counter in 3Rivers Archery store, I finally had to let it go. I shot with the Bearpaw Deerskin glove all summer and I love it. It fits well, it's well made, it is not too thick or too thin.

I stopped shooting a glove because about the time my glove was broke in it was time for a new one, and the new one didn't shoot good until I broke it in. Went to a tab and never looked back. I can grab a new tab and it shoots good after a couple arrows. That's just me but when it ain't broke...... Thank you for the video and take care.

Bearpaw top glove is pretty nice once you've managed to break it in. Good protection for fairly high poundages.

Why are they making the seams in between the fingers instead of the back side of the fingers

Ah Jim thanks for this video. I have the timber creek glove which is fine to 60lb bows but over that I found my fingers went numb, coming in to see you soon!

Alcantara :) Microfiber/Super Suede. I like these a lot and I'm glad to have a non-leather glove that isn't a terrible cloth version instead.

What do you think of the Bearpaw Classic glove? Yes, Jeff Kavanagh sure keeps his gloves a long time!

To me, there is nothing better than American Leather shooting gloves. Unfortunately very hard to get in Europe.

Do you treat your leather before you use it? You'd be surprised by how much quicker they break in and how much longer they last. I just use a leather glove from the hardware store with a velcro closure. But I scrub it w saddlesoap and treat it with a natural oil first. Mink oil has been the best for me but have others to try too.

I went through about 2 dozen of different gloves, but I struggled to find The one. I ended up using the cheap Gompy tab which is working well for me. I am shooting Mediterranean style with split fingers, and bulky fingertips of the glove happen to squeeze the nock at the full draw and I just couldn't get a smooth release.
