Hi! Thanks for stopping by and sending me a comment! It's been a few years since I read Mask, but do you care to share me your favorite part? I have many, but him looking out meditatively over the school athletics field stuck with me most. Recently I read The Sailor Who Feel From Grave With the Sea. Still trying to wrap my thoughts around that one. Lol. If you read it, share with me yours. And recs are highly welcomed!

Your video helped me writing on Butoh dance, since I'm working on the bridge existing between modern Japanese literature and their modern dance, AKA Butoh !

I think this is a really tough book to review simpy because of it's lack anything but a very subtle undercurrent of plot but this was a good review. Medititative is definitely the most prominent description of this book in my mind. It's more of a document of his feelings than anything else. It's an amazingly personal look at the subject matter for the time period imo.

+James Keegan Thanks for stopping by and commenting. And yes, it was kind of hard to review based off traditional literary conventions. So I approached it from resonance and personal experience. Do you have any other suggestions by him?

+Troi Towel Haven't read anything else of his yet. I definitely will in the future though. I've heard spring snow is really good. and the cover I've seen is really pretty and I like the title lmao.

Great vid! I had no idea that Mishima committed ritual suicide though! Didn't he write about that as well in one of his novels?

+Lynecia Burgess Thank you. He was a huge activist back in Japan. Evidently troubled by his passion for creating change. As I work my way through his novels I'll know for sure whether or not he applied ritual suicide to any of his characters. Lol. He has PLENTY to get into in the meantime. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting! I really appreciate it. Makes my day.
