This makes me think that Chopin composed this piece AFTER he was dead

The sensibility of Chopin would may perfectly dispense be dead for knowing about death. He was all embracing.

I know our generation finds this piece for a funeral as a joke or offensive these days. But, it's a very good piece of music. Most of our generation only knows the sound of the beginning anyway. Most of them never heard the beauty of the rest of the song, to even consider how good it sounds, and how good it is for someone's funeral.
@Chipsomedip
@Chipsomedip 17 күн бұрын
Yes, I agree completely; the middle part of this piece is very beautiful yet nobody really notices it. I really like this piece and listen to it unironically. And yes, it does sound like a funeral song and it makes me sad.

You have not heard this song until you've heard it played by a military band or a concert band. Talk about good.I lived on an United States Army installation when I was first heard it. The bad was marching to the Chapel for a funeral. I was in the second grade at the time and just happened to be riding by when I encountered the band. Wunderful!!!! I've always remembered it thought I did not know even the name. Thanks

I don't know if you know this already or not, i just thought it was funny you mentioned piano hero, but the softwaye this is playing on is called Synthesia. Synthesia was formerly known as piano hero but according to the site for synthesia activision got all upset about it so they held a contest to change the name, and synthesia was picked. great software for learning, it definatly makes it easy to learn the songs.

I know im 3 years late but its funeral music, it sad and happy because still even if your loved one died, you still have good memories with that person. Like someone once said: "Dont cry because its over, smile because it happened"

At 1:17, I can't hit that middle F note with my left hand or right while still hitting all the other notes. Did Chopin have extra large hands to be able to play that? I'm thinking about just playing the left hand A flat and F and skipping the deep D flat - any suggestions? Alternatively, I suppose I could play the middle F with my tongue...

If you want better audio for synthesia download virtualMIDIsynth and a soundfont for it. There's a virtualMIDIsynth topic at the synthesia forum and install instructions on virtualMIDIsynths website. I haven't tried all the soundfonts but i would recommend arachno.

Thank you. I used this to learn how to play "Funeral March". But why is the artist in the description Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart? It should be Frédéric Chopin. Otherwise, good job.

Although this is associated with funerals and death, rightfully so because it is called ‘Funeral March’, it is actually quite a nice piece of music, it’s very emotional, I might learn it.

In my opinion, I think Frederic Francois Chopin is the greatest composer of all time! Chopin: No I'm not... Me: Yes you are, now shut up! Mozart: What about me!? I wrote this song! See!? The artist thing! Me: No! That was just a mistake! Beethoven: Why won't you shut the bloody hell up!?

surprisingly, chopin WASN'T inspired by any kind of death when he wrote this piece. unlike most of his other pieces, he just came up with it out of the blue. still a great piece no matter how you put it.
