The way Chopin wrote this part of the piece at 1:19 to go return the performer back to the original theme is amazing 🙏🙌

Sorry don't meant to be rude but "GOOD" is the biggest insult you can give to someone performing this piece are you joking, There are seasoned 10-20 year trained pianists that perform with orchestras that couldn't pull this off

I just have to say I love your commentary. I took piano lessons as a kid for a couple years and loved learning about composers back then, but otherwise I know absolutely nothing about piano/composers/music theory/etc. and your commentary helps me understand what’s cool or hard about the piece. I’ve always loved piano and regret that I let a bad teacher prevent me from continuing to learn it, so thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge in such an accessible way for us!

Just wanted to say your videos really got me back into piano! I had been kinda plateauing on the 3rd movement of the moonlight sonata for years (that's how i found your channel, very accurate commentary lmao). Seeing your rendition of the Fantaisie Impromptu really motivated me to play it myself and I was absolutely obsessed with it, learning it faster than I've learnt any other difficult piece so far. Since then I've been working on Chopin's Ballade No. 1, which is so fun to play, especially the Coda (though also hell lol). Would love to see your take on it if it's on your list :)

(hey guys, im back from the fantaisie impromptu video to worship this recording when everyone else thinks it's not impressive) torrent is extremely difficult. and i mean like.. beyond difficult. the precision required, especially in the left hand (which, as he pointed out, is typically less precise and fast) is just insane and yet he plays every note with perfect confidence and no mistakes (at least not that i heard). this is one of my favorite pieces of all time and i'm so glad he could give it some justice :) anyway let's hear some more of my favorites... got hungarian rhapsody no. 2 or ballade no. 1 in g minor in your rep? how about preulde op. 23 no. 5 in g minor (i'm learning this one rn :D)
