This video is critical. I watched so many tutorials where the people just play flawless keys - and i try to recreate it with no luck. My chords / midi's FINALLY feel more full and cohesive. Thank you so much. subbed and liked. I'll check for more of your videos. You are a life and time saver
@Gundrs4 жыл бұрын
There are workarounds for this in Logic. You can record midiFX to a separate track by using the midi environment window (cmd+0) and connecting the track with fx to a midi monitor module. It seems a bit inconvenient at first, but it’s actually pretty easy. There are KZbin tutorials for it. Just search for “How to record midi FX in Logic” You can also use the Logic remote app as a keyboard and trigger chords just like GarageBand for iOS.

Your videos are the BEST, you leave all the mind noise aside (sudden pauses, unnecessary director cut voiceover). Straight to the point, no bs. Subscribed, can't wait for the next one.

Great video. I'm surprised Logic doesn't have a way to freeze or print the output of the midi effects to the piano roll. In REAPER you basically set a track input to be the output of the midi plugin.

For anyone who's having problems because the developer isn't "trusted", this is a setting that you can bypass in the system settings. System Preferences > Security and Privacy When you download the plugin, the security and privacy section will provide you with instructions for what to do. Allow access to download the plugin. Also, I appreciate the positive feedback. Things are a bit rough for me at the moment. Thank you

TLDR but watched the video in full. Question: Does your creation work independently, in any way? IMPORTANT: For those who are not fluent in theory, I don’t believe this video does justice in helping one realize the full value of this Incredible job. everything worked on up to the point where MIDI FX freeze reproduction was scrambled and not the same sounding chords as the original. If MIDI FX freeze was more stable it may come in handy for divining midi notes that may not import well into Logic from Android..such as Chord Bot. In Chord Bot I had some issues about not getting the same programmed production from the CB app designers when I imported a MIDI file from the app. It was close but with all of the Steve LAceys out there I wanted to capture exactly what I heard through my earbuds... but now I think I will pay for something like Captain Chords 2.0. Ah well!

Hey Jake, I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to transfer Logic Pro X on a external hard drive because most videos on this topic aren't helpful. Thanks.
@JakeMasca7 жыл бұрын
Danny Aliraqi i wouldnt put logic pro x on an external hard drive because if you update, you may get duplicate file issues. How much space do you have left?
@raheshlr6 жыл бұрын
I did do that and it saves a lot of juice being sucked by the processor, just copy the instrument library (Logic) and apple loops to the external drive and make use of the symlinker app to connect it to the original directory..
