Our responsibility chart is similar to yours. My kids have a morning list, after school list, and evening list. I check their charts at the end of the day and give them the screen bucks for everything that they’ve completed and checked off. They can earn 30 bucks each day plus up to 20 bonus bucks if they do everything and read an extra 30 minutes. The next day they can use their bucks to buy screen time or they can save up for things that we have in our family store. 5 bucks equals 30 minutes of screen time or 50¢ in the family store. That seems like it would be a lot… like they earn five hours of screen time or five dollars every day, but they rarely complete their whole list. They are 100% in charge of completing and remembering to check off their list so they might only earn 20 screen bucks in a day. On Saturday they can earn $3.75 in real cash for cleaning their zone and room before noon. This is the weekly cleaning: toilets, dusting, moping…. They budget that money 10%/20%/70%.

That's AWESOME!! You are so on top of things. It sounds like a great system. I love that they have to take responsibility for it themselves...it prepares them for real life! And I love the habit of budgeting money for giving and savings! Way to go!!

Omg I love this I need this for my kids. I just tell them to clean up in the moment. But I love this because it’s very structured and gives the responsibility.

This is such a great idea! We something similar but we use mini zip lock bags and assign each weekly chore a dollar amount. The kids have their daily chores but the weekly chore earning is picked up after they complete that chore. One might be weeding the garden, watering the flowers, etc
