When I say that Alayna’s story genuinely helped me get from almost getting engaged to a man to coming out as a lesbian. She was able to articulate my emotions out loud that I couldn’t even say to myself. But once I watched her video and felt a strong sense of relatability the next time I talked to my ex we broke up. Her have the retrospect of looking at her childhood and being like “oh that was me being gay!” Is so relatable

For those interested - Pica is eating non food items regularly. It's a rare disorder that can also affect humans & others, & can have various metabolic & psychological causes Wool sucking is common in cats. Often thought to be related to premature weaning. I found Alayna's channel first years and years ago when I also identified as bi (I grew up in a small Canadian town too) and then realized I was a lesbian in my late 20's shortly after Alayna did. The shock and grief and denial of that "oh" moment is fucking brutal and I can remember sobbing when I realized and wishing I wasn't gay. Fucking rough start for both of us lol. Love you Alayna ❤

All 3 so funny today! Loving this episode! Only halfway thru cuz I listen/watch on my way to work in LA traffic but just had to come on here before I forget everything I wanted to say so far. First off, I agree with Ashley and Alayna. Love the fall cuz I can finally wear stuff I don't feel fat in AND I am not sweating through all my clothes. Also, Mak is on fire this episode. Cracking up when Ashley goes away to get her vests and Mak and Alayna try to keep the convo going. And finally, Ashley-- YES to the vests!!!!! First one with the hat for sure, too. Like, you are making me want to go out and buy a vest. Ok, that's all for now. Sure I'll be back with more praise when I finish the episode on my way home today. (I now enjoy sitting in traffic on Wednesdays cuz I get to listen to the 3 of you banter. It's the best!)

32:40 man, that forever "ouch" feeling is so real. I wasn't engaged or married but had a 6 year relationship. Something was off, i think i spent much of the last 2 years feeling like we werent going to make it. Then he left. He didnt officially move out, but he went back to his parents house in another state with no return date. That gave me time to think. Some stuff happened, a few months of ruminating slowly building to a full-on crisis, oh no, im gay. I have to tell him. So i made the dubious, mid-crisis decision to tell him on facetime. In my defense, i had no idea when i would actually see him next. It was august and we probably woudnt have been face-to-face until thanksgiving. Waiting felt bad and dishonest, plus dropping that during the holiday season, telling him on the phone also felt really bad... So for better or worse, thats what happened. The actual conversation was really rough. I was an emotional mess telling him everything. If i could go back, i would leave out the identity stuff entirely. Being fully honest with him in that moment was not worth the damage it caused.

I think the sweater vest looks great, but as for the hat, *personally* I think the shape of the bill makes a big difference. I think a more curved bill would look good rather than the slightly flatter bill. I also like the colors matching! Even a mostly solid colored hat to match the vest would look good (also this might be unpopular but maybe look into getting a trucker hat? I actually love them and think you’d rock one Ashley)
