Let's take my home town of Pokrovsk as an example, my wife and I are IDP in west Ukraine, but the Russian have shelling the crap out of the town for a while now, it's all civilian homes they are bombing, and here's Chris with that same old BS about US IN UKRAINE escalating ? TBH, when did anyone before this war in 2022 ever use that term ? "I was at the pub and this drunk guy accosted me, but I ignored him because I didn't want to escalate", yea, right!!! They never used that term in their lives before 2022, now they throw it around willy nilly. It really grinds my gears. You really need to fix your internet. Interesting points bought up, Personally, don't think Ukraine is a major player even in it's own war. For the simple reason that without US support, it can't withstand an Russian onslaught. Plus most observers can observe actions made by state actors. You can analyze stuff, but at the end of the day, the game on the ground is the main thing. Building narratives is good, but it needs to be backed by a lot of true undisputible facts. Naratives which are not built properly are just a annoince and infruites, n does not do what it's meant to do.

@@alexmashine Sure, they might have fought the first year withouht major help as you claim. But we do need to take into consideration that they did recieve weapons and training from NATO, more like USA. And thats after the 2014 Crimea Takeover. Still, I don't think they can sustain any kind of defense without major help from the west.
