Both Nirvana and Pearl Jam are in, and I think Alice in chain. I see no reason why not that either Chris solo, Soundgarden, Audioslave or all the above get in at some point. Those bands were all part of a key moment in rock n roll. I dont think of it as the grunge movement. More as the return of real raw, true grit rock coming back in the mainstream.

I found out from the radio driving into work that day. They were in the middle of a tribute when I tuned in. Was playing Like A Stone by Audioslave, didnt think much of it bc it was the "rock station" then the DJ same on said he died and they were playing his songs and went into "Fell on Black Days" by Soundgarden. I had to pull over because I couldnt see the road past my tears.

I cannot put into words the tragedy his death still feels like to me. His music helped me through some dark things. At age 54 the 3 deaths in R&R that hit me hardest: John Lennon. True chance of world peace died the night he did. Darrell Abbott was 2. Shot because some fool was mad about Pantera ending. He was a great guitarist and just a cool down to earth guy. And then Chris. Such a beautiful, raw voice. You hear the passion in his voice...sure I miss Bowie and Freddie and Layne. And so many others. But those 3 for me...R.I.P.
