Rishabh Bose, that's true! His lyrics, singing, and writing were all awesome. He was such an independent musician, too, he could've done so much just on his own. I'm not saying that's "wasted potential" because he was with other bands for so long. In fact, I'd say it's the _opposite!_ He was incredible, inspirational, and will certainly be missed, not only for his influence on others, but for the wonderful masterpieces he created in his time. The fact that he could do so much in such little time, however, is just a true show of how skilled and amazing he was at what he did. He found what he loved, and, even if it didn't end well... I admire the beauty and the wonders Chris has contributed to and made. What a skilled, beautiful, and certainly _remarkable_ man.

I saw Chris live on his last birthday (July 20th 2016) at the Fox Theater in Spokane WA. I remember the day he passed away. I received the news myself during my lunch period in freshman year of high school. I couldn’t finish that school day. He was by far my favorite musician and my inspiration for taking up the guitar. It was actually the song Rusty Cage featured in GTA San Andreas that introduced me to the world of music. He was too young to die man…
@Brent-y1x7 күн бұрын
I found Rusty Cage through Johnny Cash which eventually led me to exploring the source which was Bad Motofinger. It was one of the most intense albums I'd ever heard; almost a super heavy Blues Album. Nobody believes me but if feels like the deepest darkest blues album I've ever heard. I couldn't believe how Johnny Cash and Tom Petty (I believe) distilled the speed and heaviness of Rusty Cage down to where we could appreciate Cornell's powerful lyrics. To me, it's even more meaningful than the original version with that incredible magical Cash-like spin on it...like wisdom from an old man whose still got that spark left in him.

This man was one of the last most talented musicians to walk this earth, Cornell was skilled in his compositions, an extreme facility to expose his vulnerability and make one reflect, a true poet. He was an excellent musician, he played drums, bass and guitar well, and before he was a singer he also composed songs thinking about the voice-drums timing for the best fit. And the vocal talent, able to reach beyond octaves, raise the tones and have a very powerful voice timbre for a man. This man, for those who appreciate good music, organic music, he was a possessor of ability, competence and mastery. No one sings like you anymore, GOD of rock music.

What stuns me is everyone's focused on his voice, or what he did to them with his 'leaving' but they're not seeing a man tell you why he did what he did. From 'The day I tried to live' to this Chris told you exactly how he felt. The ending was not the surprise for anyone who was a fan and listened to his lyrics.

@@michaelreyes2301 I was only joking. I have a very strong accent. I do love American rock......... the harder stuff, but ballads like this are touching. I also like shooting and hiking the woods, camping, hunting and fishing. I don't usually make videos of myself though.

I don't listen to the radio much, but I heard this when I was driving and knew his voice immediately, as I've listened to Soundgarden since the 90s, but this is so different. It is seriously beautiful-- and extremely sad that his talent is gone. This song made me incredibly emotional, and I'm not an emotional person... but I am a musician. And this is fucking wonderful. RIP Chris

First time I ever hear Chris sing was with soundgarden. Wow what a voice was my reaction. Then my eldest brother bought the first sound garden album for me and my younger brother,….....to share!!! OMG share?! I felt like to cut this album in two was a sin. So I let go and gave it to my younger brother. I was already sold ♥

I always used to listen to Soundgarden and Audioslave when I was little. My dad loved Chris Cornell so that was what I listened to when I was 3-8. It was amazing. I discovered Chris Cornell again right after he died. It really makes me sad. It's only now that I realize how truly amazing he was.
