Brother..Never stop the memories..This life is but a test and the ones we lose are safe..Just lose this evil world..it is Not ours..We are just here to make it thru it..We Will be Together one day..With All the love we had once..Cuz this realm is soon toast..Chris knows now that He fucked up..We all were Brainwashed..And indoctrinated..But the Creator knew us in the womb..And our Strife in this world..Know that this life we live is very temporary..Eternal Life is FOREVER

Been a Chris Cornell fan for almost two decades...had a moment of complete connection with him, listening to him almost every day for three months prior to his death, like some kind of premonition knowing what it was gonna happen...until this day i continue listening to him and I still think none of this happened...his voice will be alive FOREVER.

Had KZbin autoplay on. Was listening to this with my eyes closed. Thought it was for sure a studio version. Opened my eyes at the very end to see it was Chris playing and singing live. Wow, what a voice..

Each time I listen to this song, tears of sadness emerge from my eyes and soul :'(
Cornell told the audience, he wrote this song for Johnny Cash. Johnny wanted to cover, Rusty Cage, instead. Saw CC live over 40 times. There will never be another like him. 🖤

I'm having one of those times when I'm certain that I need drugs. This isn't a cry for help. Your comment makes me need drugs. The fact that this video was produced by Walmart makes me need drugs. Those brief looks of disgust on his face while performing the song makes me needs drugs. Got any drugs?

I don't know how somebody could write a song about shooting themselves and make it sound so beautiful Soulful and moving this man has a heart in the soul of a lion love and tenderness of lamb words of a poet and storyteller when you get one of his songs in your head you just can't get it out he will live on in our hearts and our minds playing music to charm our ears a talent never seen before and not to be ever be forgotten
Some artists truly get better with age...this was recorded in 2011. Cornell at his best. This statement is made after listening to this no less than 50 times....can not get enough. Caution: Addictive!

To me the 2009-2011 era was his second vocal peak. He had so much control and had conditioned his voice how to hit the high notes smoothly again. The live acoustic shows I saw of him were downright magical to sit through in person.

I saw him in Seattle his last two solo tours. It's incredible how much better he got the older he became. He was the best of his rock peers, this song in particular shows he has few equals in any genre.

I cant help but to wonder"where he would lead us today. Down what new path of enlightenment, to what new or old sentiment would he unfurl with the pluckings of our heart strings parebled with his? I feel this. I’ve been debating with myself for a long time. I don’t know anymore. I think about the aftermath and what I would leave behind and I also think about if God will be there for me. I don’t know. The uncertainty is what makes me stay here. I’m ready to just go. As I type this, I know there is no point. I’m venting.

I am sad that he found that life was too tough for him to bear. Truth be told, God is love and I wish I had the opportunity to help all those who think that they have no where to go to heal. He made the wrong choice... my hope is that others hang on no matter what the case... this life is short compared to forever. I will sign off with this.. the day is coming that the Good Lord takes control of this world... and all will be righted and evil purged. It is the only hope mankind has.... regardless of any opinion to the contrary. All will be well in time...
