when this tune hit the charts I was a 21 year old bartender in a nightclub and the DJ usually played this as the last tune of the night......I always danced with my sweetheart during this tune. Great days! Btw... you don't need to wear red Hun, you are completely stunning the way you are regardless what you're wearing or what color it is!

Chris de Burgh wrote this for his wife. He said that the song was inspired by the memory of when he first saw his wife Diane, and how men so often cannot even remember what their wives were wearing when they first met.

At his concerts he goes around the audience singing this and all his die hard fans are in red dresses drooling over him. He sings to them and dances a bit it’s very good. He does a great concert.
