I remember the first time I fell head over heels for a beautiful woman. I remember it like it was yesterday. I went to a friends house after work and as soon as I walked through the door, i saw the most amazing, most beautiful woman I've ever seen. When she looked back at me and gave me that smile. A smile mixed with a blush as she could hardly look back at me. The radio was playing and people were sitting and talking, drinking wine. I remember sitting there trying to find the courage to approach her and wondering how I was even going to mutter one word to her without making myself look like a complete fool. I finally got up and my heart was pounding and I had millions of those butterflies in my stomach. That walk to her was like in slow motion. I looked at her and she looked back at me. I asked her if I could dance with her. She gave me her hand and smiled but spoke nothing. Seconds later, this exact song came on and I remember thinking how perfect that moment in time was. It was the longest slow dance of my life and I loved every second of it. I remember looking into her eyes as she pulled me closer. It was the most passionate moment of my life and I'll never forget it. We didn't have to speak a single word but we both knew we had to be there at that moment. We finally started talking and just sat there all night. I don't even remember who was around me or what other songs were playing but we just sat there and talked for hours. The memories of that very special evening will forever be in my heart and I'll never forget.........

Chris DeBurghs, one of Ireland's truly great singers. Lady in Red is truly wondrous love song (even knowing this indiscretion by Chris ) I am sure that his wife must have been broken by this, and it is a true testament to the love that remained between them. We men who truly love women occasionally get the chance of seeing our ladies in this light, it makes us see that we were right in our assumptions and love them even more for the seeing. Many blessings on your sweet soul my dear.
