@DarkRattlehead 8 strings have to have a longer scale otherwise the 8th string (F#) would be way to floppy, 26.5 inches is a usual scale but ibanez' version has a 27 inch scale

Hell yeah BTBAM owns Suicide Silence. SS is a cool band with fun music, but my little cousin can play half their songs and she just started playing the guitar a two weeks ago. Suicide Silence plays all their stuff in the open position on the bottom strings, it doesn't matter, its just not hard to do.

drop 5th is another way of saying flat 5th. The lowest string is the root and the 6th string would have the 5th, flat 5th is 1 fret lower than regular 5th

well obviously you wouldnt want to get the emg 707 that go on a 7 string guitar, but yeah, any standard 6 string pickup should fit in just about any guitar that has a housing for humbuckers... but if you dont have a battery housing in your guitar i would get the passive pickups which are called EMG HZ's...

man chris or mark should do a guitar lesson #2 for bludgeoned to death... that'd be pretty cool, but maybe they didn't want to since they're using 7 string or 8 string guitars (think about the pinched harmonics in that song and they other hammer and pull off riffs). unanswered is probably easier to learn on guitar and doesn't involve many things that 7 or 8 string guitars do and 6 string guitars don't.
