I'm a single mom and chronically ill. I've stumpled across your channel in April despite not being into fitness at all. Somehow you managed to give me the motivation to finally do something for my body after a lot of failed attempts. Guess I was waiting to discover Calisthenics to find my thing. My chronic headaches are finally gone and my joints now manage without constant subluxations. I'm still training without any gear and I'm constantly seeing progress, it's amazing. I couldn't do a single push up. Okay tbh, I still can't but I managed to move on from wall push ups to 30 elevated push ups. I've never been overweight but this is doing wonders for my health. I don't want to get shredded but the difference in daily stuff like carrying my son around.. I struggled a lot with it. Now I don't struggle anymore at all. And that's all thanks to you.

A comment like yours from the everiday regular person can be more inspiring than a comment from a young professional athlete. Chis inspire me, but your change is also inspiring. Keep going and believe in the process, there will be setbacks, but do not give up. Sorry for my english.

That is one of the main reasons to do sports. Heatlh. Always remember, if you are feeling low and don't feel like doing sports anymore, the pain and aches will come back. That's what keeps me motivated. Keep rocking momma.

Love it! 💕🙌🏻 I think more people should be aware of the benefits of exercise (weather it be weights, walking, yoga, etc.) and the importance of prioritizing health, as to enjoy more of life and daily activities as OP is describing

I think it would be interesting if you did a video on the injuries you have sustained throughout your career and the things you did that helped them heal. I have dealt with many injuries in the past from Brazilian jujitsu and have found that callisthenics and sled training to be the most effective in rehabilitation/strength/conditioning

Injuries usually caused by volume and frequency.... It's very common in bodybuilding.... years of training give tears and wears.... decrease volume and frequency.... It will help... It's a long term process... be kind to your body.... all elite athletes have injuries.... injury free pros are very rare... especially as we get older, we must avoid explosive movements...

I think your positive words have helped me. I used to be an athlete since I was young (teens - 20’s, early 30’s) but a few things happened now in my late 30’s mentally and physically (not too bad but feels like a rock 🪨 in my way that appears sometimes) and I think the most important thing is the mental state. I felt that when you said something than doing nothing is better. You can apply that to practically anything.

I'm in a similar boat, was never at your level but stopped seeing progress at some point, injured my shoulder and even regressed... now the shoulder is fixed, I changed up my training back to basics. Pull-legs-push-lower-upper split, the lower body day is dedicated to mobility and flexibility, upper day is more skill dedicated. Already gained 5kg of muscle in the past few months and my technique in basic exercises is skyrocketing, once I hit some prerequisites I'll start the long journey of planche and front lever training. It's good to see your human side, it was visible in your videos that you weren't at peak performance, great to see you own it and take us along in your plan to get back to where you were. I'm excited for this series, if I was in the US would definitely come out to the workshops!

It's so inspiring having you honestly share your regression but working hard and smart to regain strength! I was doing strict bodybuilding for months and recently started calisthenics. I noticed there are so many stabilizing muscles required to do these exercises and I'm so excited to develop functional strength and skills! You being on a lower level than before makes it a little more relatable and the tips for practicing help q lot!

Hey Chris, I am psyched to see this vlog series! I am sorry to hear about you getting hurt but it's great to see you in good spirits and making your come back. I am 38 and to be honest I never really cared about health or fitness until this year. I got into doing music festivals and started to develop an interest in flow arts and shuffle dancing because of it. I realized quickly as I was learning to shuffle dance that I was very much out of shape while simultaneously learning how important physical fitness was to overall health from a few podcasts I got into. I went searching for a good calisthenics workout to compliment my new interest in dancing and found your channel. Since then I have downloaded your app and started working out weekly. 3 days a week I learn shuffle dancing and push myself turning it into an endurance workout. The other 3 days I do some grip training just doing dead man hangs and then use your app for a beginner friendly full body workout and finish those days with pike holds(trying to slowly get myself to the point that I can do handstands). I learned from you how important core strength is and started doing your 10 minute core workout every day as well. I am about a month or so into doing this and already feel better physically and mentally, and am excited to continue this journey as I know it has to be a lifestyle change for it to last. I appreciate you for your part in my journey already and can't wait to see where it leads me. On a final note for now, I was born and raised in Tampa(moved away for some time but I have been back for the last couple years) so I am only 4 and a half hours or so from you, maybe I'll get the chance to come visit the ThenX gym at some point. Much love homie, and can't wait to see more of your road to recovery vlog series.
