Chris Jericho's Long Awaited Return in 2007

I promised this one a long time ago. Personally, I'm happy with the way the video turned out and if I were to have done it when I originally planned to, I don't think it would've been as good. Chris Jericho came in hot, but as the weeks went by, he slowly turned into just another person on the roster. What did you think of Y2J's 2007 return? Also, Jericho originally wanted to return as a heel, but Stephanie McMahon knew the crowd couldn't boo him when returning.

Y2J was nice, but also overrated. He wasn't bad by any means, but he got a bit overpushed in the late 2000s. He was better in the early 2000s

I think top 5 is a really tough argument. there are so many names fighting in that tier. In my humble opinion I don't think he ever had quite enough pop to be a top five guy. in my opinion the top 4 guys in not particular order are Taker, Austin, Rock, and Cena. I think there are a handful of guys who you could argue should be in that 5th spot and he may be one of them for you but I don't think hes ever been on the level of those 4

his return came at the right time considering lot of top stars especially for RAW were getting injured. Triple h, rey mysterio, matt hardy, jeff hardy, hbk, undertaker, edge,john cena, and dont forget that chris benoit tragedy. RV and booker t were gone from the company. so yeah this return came at the right time

I'll say this, that as a 12 or 13 year old at the time who previously latched on to Jericho when I was younger this return was probably the biggest thing I had marked out for at the time I remember all the little teases even when he was on Larry King with Cena and Bret talking about the Benoit situation but you are absolutely correct in this analysis because in retrospect not only did he cool off almost immediately after he came back but it wasn't until further into 2008 when he turned heel and began to slowly strip away all the aspects of his old character did he begin to come into his own again. Looking forward to the HBK feud video and I'm subbing 🔥

When Chris Jericho made his return back to WWE as a face in late 2007, he didn't even stay as a face that long going into 2008. He later turned heel in 2008 when he restarted his feud with Shawn Michaels over a fake knee injury. If he never had turned heel, then he would've still had won the World Heavyweight Championship as a face in 2008. He then would've thought about turning heel in 2009 instead and then still form a partnership with the Big Show (As known as Jeri-Show) when they were the Unification Tag Team Champions.

I might be in the minority, but I enjoyed when he returned as the Save Us Y2J. The matrix like vignettes and attire(wish he would've wore it longer but I understood he turned heel and didn't want to be cool but he looked weird with trunks). I really thought he was gonna win the WWE title and it seem like that feud didn't last long with Orton, then he just got lost in the shuffle. In all honesty, he probably would've returned as a heel had Cena not been injured at the time.
