The body is such a magnificent thing. Ever since I've been doing self fascia releases (over 5yrs now) with my foam rollers and lacrosse balls on my body, along with sleep it's done wonders for my recovery. This was a really good and much needed video

Not even 40 minutes in and this dude has already picked me apart. I have knee problems, breathing problems, atrophy, I’m stiff, etc. I’ve been living in chronic pain for almost a decade now, had knee surgery that was supposed to fix it and didn’t. This is the first time in a decade I’ve actually felt optimistic about possibly feeling like a normal person again. Thank you!

Fascia comment is spot on Chris. I remember my anatomy classes and that was the take on fascia. I knew at that moment it was the most important part of the body. I saw it was connecting everything. It is all about control.

2:02:30 sheesh this happened to me during a body work session. I cried my heart out in a solemn way while work was done to me -- it was crazy, I thought I was crazy after the fact. But the way that the bodyworker kept on going made me realize this wasn't the first time this happened to them. Crazy thing is too, is I've felt those opposing energies in the body as well.. I didn't know what to make of it, but I'm glad others are talking about it.

Doctors are told to give medication/pills instead of hands on treatment, that's why the pharmaceutical industry is still the wealthiest in the world. Money over health is the world we live in.

Nailed it! It's obviously a very broken system (intentionally so) that promotes the wrong type of treatments and is led and lobbied by the pharmaceutical industry. The powerful and rich continue to stay in and gain wealth/power by the literal blood of those who they claim to be working for and wanting to help. It's a circus act that should have been exposed a LONG time ago!

Until massage gets covered by insurance, it won’t be accepted as a mainstream modality. Follow the money.

Massage is already covered by insurance.... 🤔
@b3ex1onG2 жыл бұрын
It has to be documented as "Soft Tissue Mobilization" to be covered by insurance lol
@seantv15102 жыл бұрын
@@eswainz that may be partially true but it very limited and not true across the board. When I had insurance with widespread chronic pain for over a decade that affected my entire life and led to me having to leave my well paying job and basically lay in bed for 7 years minus the rare occasions where I would take strong painkillers in order to get out of the house. Over that decade I was only able to get a massage covered once for a 4 week period. They only approved a 30 minute massage as well which was never even close to long enough and they were basic massages. It was hardly worth it to leave the house, wait uncomfortably, only to receive maybe 25 actual minutes of massage. Many other people in simar situations have also not had the luxury of getting this covered. I'm sure it's different in countries all across the world but it's obviously a very broken system, and intentionally so, that promotes the wrong type of treatments and is led and lobbied by the pharmaceutical industry. The powerful and rich continue to stay in and gain wealth/power by the literal blood of those who they claim to be working for and wanting to help. It's a circus act that should have been exposed a LONG time ago!
@WideAwakeHuman2 жыл бұрын
nah it won't matter if it's covered or not... the key is if it can make pharmaceutical companies money - only then will it be allowed to become mainstream. Same reason low carb diets aren't mainstream - because not only do drug companies not make money on it but they actually lose customers every time someone gets healthy and off meds. I'm a pharmacist, believe the, the pharma/PBM lobby is the biggest in the country and control the whole show.

@thepainbibles52062 жыл бұрын
I would recommend a lot of rolling on the middle and lower calf, and foot. Look on the outside of the lower leg as well in the peroneals. If that's not keeping things open and loose then go into the hamstring and glute minimus/medius.
@walterjriddle2 жыл бұрын
What you are looking for is called "Cross Fiber Friction" . It breaks down the scar tissue that limits flexibility and leave the fibers that run WITH the direction of the fibers.

Mark Bells podcast (and most health and fitness podcasts) in a nutshell. Some good info but a lot of... dubious claims. The anecdote he mentioned about the billboard (everything you need to know isn't already known) is peak charlatanism. Here is a problem you never knew existed, novel excises that give you doms in places you haven't had them before, then voila, here's a cure to the problem that I just told you about.
