Kids will learn to moderate their language around other people if you explain to them the use for it and dont make it so taboo. My house has always had no problems with swearing even when I was a kid and I dont have any problem with running my mouth around other people. If you restrict something from a kid as soon as they get it theyll overuse it.

Chris Meadwell exactly. My mom let’s us swear at home and when we’re around her, as long as we don’t do it at school and to other people it’s fine

Yeah, it's the same with alcohol and drugs. Its always the households that make it very taboo that produce the stoners and alcoholics. I was allowed to have a beer at dinner even from the time I was 14 and when I got to college I was the only one not binge drinking every night and almost killing myself.
@kingjamestres6 жыл бұрын

Its been proven in studies my friend. Just because you are an exception doesnt mean you are the rule. Kids who are deprived of something will almost always over indulge when they are given access to it.

Me too! It was pretty fun at that point. That was cracking me up. I found it kinda disgusting that he'd celebrate his son talking like a potty mouth adult and tell the world. What happened to pride in your kid being amazing in a good way - like being innocent and saying 'stupid'? When did being trashy become totally okay?
@edwardkelly73576 жыл бұрын
Oh, I still found it funny even after the punchline. I just thought he was telling a different joke. I can appreciate your point of view though and don't totally disagree, but I myself am pretty trashy so I can't really call out others for it. There is a small part of me that wishes it was more common to talk like they do in period pieces where you call someone impertinent and it held some gravitas.
