I agree completely. taking up fitness and learning over the years has changed my life. I was about 140lbs when I started playing video games smoking cigarettes and drinking about 2 2liters of mountain dew a day. now I hit weights 3 days a week and cardio the rest in the form of basketball. my overall health and mental well being has improved. I love that these young guys in there 20s are surprised a guy a 37 is in better shape than they are. Definitely a confidence booster.

Spot on! I'm 5ft 8 and went from 255lbs to about 187Ibs over the course of 4 months in 2020 - mainly like Chris Pratt for Zero Dark Thirty. Then I plateaued, so I started focusing on clean eating more, and hey presto lost another 20lbs. I totally agree with Chris. Feeling awesome between meals is worth any sacrifices. Also, who says you don't need to enjoy food. Just minimise the processed stuff 💪.

It just takes one small change in lifestyle to create a domino effect on the rest of your life. A lot of people aren't willing to make that small change. If it was easy everyone would do it. They go through and waste their life without ever finding out what they're truly capable of. So anyone who's here because they have the mindset to become better, even by 1%, you're a champion.

Eat two big meals a day with a strong emphasis on most of your calories being protein and as whole foods. This will keep you satiated longer, more energized throughout the day and cognitively stable. Depending on personal caloric needs, each meal can be around a hearty 1200-1500 calories. Once your hunger regulates and normalizes, you'll probably have a hard time wanting to eat that much. Make an effort to get 7-10 hours of quality sleep. That doesn't mean staying up as late as possible and then going to bed 5 minutes after binging KZbin or video games, your brain needs time to wind down after that much excitement. Don't consume caffeine in the evening, it has a half life in your blood stream of 4 hours. That means caffeine is in your system for around 8 hours after consumption. This will negatively effect your ability to fall a sleep and stay asleep. Don't consume alcohol, at least not while you're taking this seriously. Alcohol stays in your system for around 48 hours, this negatively effects you bodies ability to focus on repairing muscle tissue and recovery after your workout. Thus hurting your gains. There's a million ways to do a workout routine, but the most efficient way to get it done and still have time to do stuff you want during your day is to push as hard as you can in 30-45 minute sessions. You work hard to take up less time out of your day and you get better results, what's not to like? Regular people not using PEDs don't need to workout for 2,4,6,8 hours every day, it's counterproductive because it ends up doing unnecessary damage to your body. There's 3 schedules I feel are the most common to utilize but your work or life schedule may not permit all of them. 1. Workout 2-3 days in a row followed by 1-2 rest days. Some studies that I've heard about show that your growth hormone production is highest after intense activity for a period of 48 hours. This schedule theoretically takes advantage of this natural physiology to get more gains with this pattern. 2. If you don't experience platue or negative results and you've got the motivation, there's always the 5-6 consecutive workouts followed by 1-2 rest days. I don't have much experience with his one because my work schedules have never allowed me to focus that much on my workouts. For me, paying my bills means I have to be physically able to do my job, being crippled after leg day was/is simply not an option lol. 3. This is the schedule I have the most experience with as it's been the most flexible for me. 3 days a week, alternating the day after a workout with a rest day. For me, this would look like the following, Mon. Workout Tue. Rest Wed. Workout Thu. Rest Fri. Workout(push it to the limit) Sat.-Sun. Days off/rest I would hit the full body workout all three days but pick an area to focus on. So I would pick a day to be lower body, upper body, and core/back, but still try to hit every muscle group(arms, legs, back, core) at least once. I was aiming for strength and aesthetic, I wanted to look proportional but also be strong. When I wasn't feeling up to doing a particular area like say lower body, I'd do arms again so I at least enjoyed my workout and stayed motivated to continue. I'm not saying my way is the best, just throwing some ideas out there for people who don't know where to start.
@noobbotgaming21732 жыл бұрын
Protein is important but protein doesn't make people feel full. What makes them feel full is starch or a grain. So I recommend the ratio of protein to be 50, carb 25 and veggies/fruit 25. Most Americans get enough protein. What they don't know is they need to proportion their food properly. And for people, such as myself, protein doesn't give you energy for cardio. Cardio you actually want to load you carbs especially 2 hours before the workout.

@@noobbotgaming2173 Negative ghost rider, there's tons of literature on the subject and protein is far more efficient at satiating hunger for longer than carbs. Carbs only last a couple hours at most, protein can last as long as eight hours.

100% correct. Done this myself. Quality of food eaten at the right time. I lost 10kgs, added muscle and became stronger and fitter. At some points - I had to force feed myself because I felt full. This is the answer. I hate the fitness bros online that tell you "It's all about calories in vs calories out" without giving any explanation whatsoever. That's like telling someone in poverty that all they need is a money surplus. In 2013, I went low fat vegan because I bought into the myth that saturated fat caused heart disease. I also believed any dietary fats would clog my arteries. I was also in college at the time and was sitting in classes or doing homework for about 8 hours a day - so very little activity. Ironically, even though I was eating a lot less, I wasn't losing weight. In fact, I GAINED weight. I went from about 150 lbs to 190, and even thought I was going to the gym a few days a week, I still wasn't losing any weight. I tried intermittent fasting where I would only eat a bowl of sugar and fat free oatmeal in the afternoons, snack on fruits and veggies, then eat a modest dinner, but even that didn't lead to weight loss. Meanwhile I would wonder why my hands and feet were always cold... Eventually the diet left me with chronic fatigue, an autoimmune disorder called Eosinophilic Esophagitis, and low T. Finally after finding a book called Deep Nutrition which helped me revamp my diet for more quality animal proteins and healthy fats, and decreasing the amount of carbs I was eating, I began seeing significant improvements in how I felt. I was able to get off all my medications and became more active. However, the weight has never gone down. If anything, it's gone up. I'm now 198 lbs and have STILL not been able to lose weight. Whenever I go online with the intent to research what I'm doing wrong, I always get the same response, "You're lying to yourself about how much you're eating... You're still stuffing your face and blaming your metabolism... You're just making excuses" WTF are my excuses?? What am I hiding?? My diet was severely lacking in calories for YEARS! I couldn't eat anything because I had zero stomach acid from PPI use and felt bloated 24/7, WHAT ARE MY EXCUSES?? After watching this video, it finally makes sense. My metabolism IS wrecked. It's wrecked because I spent years eating foods containing very little nutrition and next to zero protein, and sat at a computer all day. I have to eat more AND move more in order to rebuild myself. Once I hit a certain point, I can slowly decrease my calories in a healthy way and lose the fat. But overall, I need to feed myself proper nutrition and build muscle. Over time, my metabolism will ramp back up and I can lose weight in a healthy way. THIS is the answer.

Interesting video. I am 6 ft 1in and weigh about 475 - 480. It is unbelievably difficult to lose weight. I just keep gaining. I know it's the foods I eat. I don't feel that I eat a lot, just bad quality. I do want to lose weight. I hate feeling terrible and no energy all the time. But getting up and doing it is so hard. One thing that may help is having a weekly meal plan like what I eat for all my meals and even how to cook them. I know some meals but I can't eat the same thing all the time or I get bored fast. Plus it's a matter of what appeals to me. Like beats, avocado, Brussel sprouts, etc. They don't taste good to me so I don't eat them. Yet they are so good for you. And I have a Crunch Fitness down my street and they take monthly plans. So I don't have to worry about signing a contract for a year or so and paying all this money just to fail and only go 1-2 months out of that year. I hate that. I know that if I don't change soon, I am going to possibly die. And I don't want to die. But addiction runs big in my family and food is mine. I hate it so so much. I hate not being able to go to a mall that I live 5 minutes from and buying clothes. I have to spend way more money at big and tall stores. So a pair of pants that would maybe be on sale for $25-$30 at a regular store cost around $50. Unless there is a deal of some sort. Shirts look silly on me because I get such big sizes. But I want to be comfy around my stomach area. And I can't even sit in a movie theater seat comfortably because it squeeze's my hips. The other day I went and saw a movie and the seat had the button by my leg to recline. Every time I reclined, my hip would hit the button so I sit back up. It's so frustrating. And I don't go anywhere with my wife because I am so tired and no ambition to do anything. I worry my marriage will end sometimes. So anyone out there that is in the same boat as me, I am right there with you.

Start walking, if you can, walk with weight in your hands. Do bodyweight squats, almost every day, as many as you can stand. Do it in front of the TV while a movie is playing. For breakfast eat 2-3 scrambled eggs with diced red or green peppers, spinach and pre cooked seasoned ground turkey, sardines (if you like hot sauce try it Korean Go chu Jong if you can find it), a slice of cheese, a thick slice of bread and black tea with lemon and honey or coffee with oat milk and a multivitamin. Alternatively with your breakfast you can drink a quart sized banana shake made in a blender with a banana, oat milk (Chobani tastes best), vanilla, cacao powder (Pure Natural Miracles is best), honey or maple syrup, a fistful of pumpkin seeds and vanilla extract. For a snack before lunch a few seasoned boiled eggs with sweet chili sauce with tuna or tuna salad made with homemade honey mustard instead of mayo, fruit and nuts. For lunch anything you want with a bias towards meat and green vegetables (2/3 of your plate should be meat and veggies), especially spinach (eat this plant daily, frozen is best). For dinner NO CARBS, meat and veggies only, any combination of the two. Do NOT eat before bed, do NOT snack on anything that doesn't have meat in it, do NOT drink anymore cow's milk, do NOT eat icecream more than once a month, drink a LOT of water during the day (squeeze lemons into it if you hate it), do NOT put granulated sugar in ANYTHING EVER, use honey or maple syrup whenever you want sugar. Walk and squats all the time. Always squat while a movie or long TV show is on, you will need the distraction. Squat with most of the weight on your heels until you can touch the floor with the palms of your hands while looking forward and not at the floor, if you can't, stretch and practice until you can, this is important and the TV will help you look forward. This will be the easiest weight loss program you've ever done and it WILL work. Do NOT deviate from this in any way for at least 90 days. That's how much time you need for the routine to become habit. You won't need luck, the food will be good and this WILL work.

Anthony I hope you read the replies below. They all give a good way to lose weight. I want you to get comfortable being uncomfortable. I don't want to read you whining about how you feel or look then read you don't want to eat what will change your life because it tastes bad. I lost 65 lbs. by consistency. I started with walking everyday- no excuses at 6am. I didn't care what the weather was like I just did it. I ate boiled, yes boiled chicken breast (tastes as terrible as it sounds) and broccoli for dinner 5 nights a week for months then I slowly introduced other lean meats and vegetables to my diet. I wanted to lose the weight more than I wanted to eat terrible food and feel like shit all the time. YOU can do it. Oh and just so you know when you first start walking start with a short distance and slowly build up. I forced myself to walk through the pain but the third day my feet hurt so bad I couldn't walk around the block. I took one morning off then got back at it. This was 16 years ago. Today I run 3 miles 5-6 days a week, lift two or three days a week and have a decent diet. I am not stick thin because I like beer and the occasional meal that is unhealthy :). Lots of people are in the same boat as you, I was. This is up to you. It's about what YOU want for your life. Nobody can do it for you but there are many resources that can help you help yourself. If you are angry with me after reading this then great- go out there and lose the weight. Your life is in your hands. Good luck and I hope you can reach your goal weight. Slow and steady my friend - anything is possible.

Simply put, food is NOT entertainment, it's fuel. Stop looking at food as something special and look at is as macros instead. Find your entertainment in other paces like dancing, hanging out with friends, exercising. Put food back where it belongs and the rest of your life will take over and you'll find that balance again.

1. The WHOLE truth is that while you are transitioning to eating ONLY healthy foods, sufficient SLEEP is also critical. 2. Thirdly, transitioning your body to consuming & using ONLY the nutrition it needs-and not stored as fat-structured, intermittent fasting is also necessary. 3. Unlike Hollywood actors training for a role, we normal people need a sleep/diet/fasting/exercise regimen that works for us day-after-day-to LONG TERM. 4. Remember, the best healthy lifestyle for YOU, is the one you can SUSTAIN.

@@ParisDemers 1. Yes, I totally grant your point. 2. And, for most people, that’s probably the most practical approach. 3. That, over time, equivalent weight-loss & fitness may be achieved without incorporating fasting. 4. But there are health benefits gained through structured, intermittent fasting that go beyond just weight loss. 5. Disease prevention, significant longevity, cortisol & alcohol reduction, are among them. 6. I have personally benefited from structured, intermittent fasting for sustained weight-loss & overall health more than all the non-fasting diets I’ve tried. 7. The concept that eating has to be fun! is such a myth created by food companies. I mean, think about all the commercials with flashy graphics, bright colors, slow motion cinematography, and enticing slogans- “When you’re here, you’re family,” “Have it your way,” “Taste the rainbow”- which is all designed to make you WANT food. What a trick- these companies are making you WANT something you NEED. It’s absurd. Food is fuel, period. It’s the gasoline for your car.

Then why did Chris make SO MANY short videos complaining about being hungry, and even “cheating” by eating some of his next planned meal early during the process of losing weight, cuz he was so hungry? If he was eating MORE. I don’t see where he said that he ate more to lose weight ever. He actually hints at the opposite in your shown clips.. Chris Hemsworth would have been more accurate for this video, as he actually said that he is forced to eat way more in interviews. Although, he was never fat.

Hi man! I am back here to ask you a question, I was wondering what a weekly workout schedule would look like for me as a 13 year old, and trying to get a body like Tom Holland? If this is possible for you to provide me a website or link or even you help me make a workout schedule I can follow to look like Tom at my age? Thank you so much man and even getting one comment from you makes me so happy to see, and lastly, if you were able to help me with what I mentioned, for an estimation, how long do you think this would take? Thanks again so much as this means a lot to me in general! Keep up with the great work Thank you! And GJ on this video, VAN

So if I'm 40 at 5'10 and weigh about 180 lbs and my GOAL is to hit what I weighed before my accident...which was 170 175 give or take. So what would be some of my lose weight statistics? Just eat whole foods, nothing processed and walk like 3 miles a day (7k steps) .....sound about right?

No way a 5'11 male that weighs 200 has the maintenance calories of 2300 lol. You lost me right there. Its a energy balance at the end of the day. You need a caloric deciect to lose weight and you need a caloric surplus to gain weight. Doesn't matter what you want to eat. The benefits of eating more whole foods is that they will keep you full longer

Most people worry about burning x amount of calories for one hour. What you really want to do is become a machine that burns x times 10 calories for the other 23 hours. You do that by building muscle, which is basically what this video is suggesting.
