Translation:
Q: You speak German, right? A: Yes, I can speak a little bit German. I learned it in school for 3 years, and uuuh, yeah, I speak a little bit German.
Q: And you’re an amazing dancer! A: Yeah!!! Thank you! Thank you, yes…
Q: Could you show me a move that makes women go crazy? A: You have to watch Guardians of the Galaxy! And uh..
Q: I already have. Three times! A: Three times? Thank you, thank you…
Q: And I’m gonna see you on the big screen as the new Indiana Jones, is that true? A: Uhm, I don’t know… not one.. (he says the German word a bit wrong) calls me? Does that mean..? Q: No one calls you? A: Yeah.
Q: I can call you! A: Not now! No, uhm, Disney! Not now! I don’t know, maybe. (I think he was aiming for ‘not yet’)
Q: [When will you come to Germany?] A: […] Maybe Oktoberfest?! That would be awesome!
Q: One beer, please! A: “One”?? No, twenty beer!!!

No, it was crap. In Germany foreign nationals (unless they do something stupid and confine themselves to a bubble of English speakers) acquire this level within a couple of months. That it took him 3 years to only achieve this level is quite shocking. That people are praising him for it, is even more depressing. It would be like studying a maths degree and trying to impress somebody with a multiplication table or doing a 3 year art course and showing people your finger paintings.

@OraOraOceanMan
@OraOraOceanMan 7 жыл бұрын
@Lilithly
@Lilithly 6 жыл бұрын

I fell in love with it.! good luck. try rosseta stone too, i heard that helps a lot. and a friend gave me the lesson 5 there which helps me a lot cuz its very advance. but start from lesson 1. there are many sites online too. like BAbel.com i think its a nice site. and livemocha.com. good luck :)

I had german class every saturday for 4 hours for 9 months then I lived in Germany for almost 2 years plus had a german boyfriend but I still can't speak like Chris Pratt. It's because I used English most of the time at university and talk with my friends also in English.. It's almost like a habit for me.. However I envy people who can learn and remember foreign language so quickly 😪

I don't understand you! You lived in Germany and you also had a german boyfriend and all you did is speak in your native language? Why? When I live in a foreign country with my girlfriend who was born there, I would learn the spoken language as soon and well as possible
@vizzyb8400
@vizzyb8400 Жыл бұрын
@@peterquill847 What kind of question is that? Because they never got the chance to speak German so why bother to speak German when they don't want you to? Not everyone is same like you. Maybe you feel the need to speak other language as well as you can since your respect is dependent on other people but most people just want to enjoy life, take pictures, make memories with other humans and not be in the depths of learning grammar, gendered nouns, prepositions, etc for German and honestly, it is very difficult to find English speakers in Germany unless you are in Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne. Others don't speak English that well or none at all. To top all of it, when someone wants other people to speak another language, they show that they are narrow minded individuals because anyone who has travelled the world is open minded individual and would never want the other person to speak another language especially if they can speak English at least. So yeah, people who have just been in 1 country, 1 religion and 1 culture say something like "you should learn the language there well if you go to another country or if I have been in your place, etc"
