Without doubt one the British bands I'm most proud of. Such a distinctive sound all of their own. Disintegration is an epic album. So dark but beautiful at the same time. This is definately a favourite. That bass 😍

The best song on this album is Disintegration. The album is one of their best. They were just too good. Good reaction.

One of those songs that isn't always top of mind, but when I hear it... wow. Actually, I feel that way about Disintegration as a whole. In my angsty high school years, this was one of my main go-to therapy albums.

My Favorite Cure song, i love a lot of their music and have seen them live once, but this song always resonates with me.

Chris needs to listen to a live concert version they normally have a 2-3 min intro before the vocals kick in, the live version is much better

Great track and great album. The song is such a mood piece with an atmospheric, dream-like quality. It’s definitely one of my favorite Cure tracks. The album is amazing and is my second favorite Cure album behind my personal favorite “The Head On The Door”. Hope you guys might get a chance to react to “In Between Days” and “Close To Me”

This is an example of how so many songs in the 80’s were absolute savage. Some lump in Depeche and the Cure and morrisey and the Smiths and yaz and new order, etc., but some of the one-off songs are incredible. Not even just with the above artists/genre, but there are so many great songs that should have done better chart-wise, or that tracked from one-hit wonders, that when you break it down, they are amazing. That is one of the fun aspects of this channel; to find a gem and hold it up and analyze/celebrate it. Oh Sheila and Walking on the Moon and Situation and Fascination Street, all are good examples.

I appreciate the quality of the sound on your videos (sound engineer/musician???) and the introspection of your dialogue. Some other ‘first-type-reaction-videos’ don’t seem to care about the sound/visual quality. Anyway, my ‘two cents’. Keep up the good work! If you want to branch out a little, I recommend VNV Nation, Apoptygma Berzerk, Covenant, or IAMX! Thx :)

Love that album with a passion. This is probably my 4th favorite of the singles but it's still brilliant. Honestly any of the other 3 singles on the album would probably have worked better as they are probably a little more accessible for a first time listener - Lullaby for instance has the creepy horror vibe and his whispering vocals which convey the nature of nightmares, Lovesong and Pictures of you are a bit more obviously about love and the effects it has on you but this is a more atmospheric piece where the lyrics themselves are less evocative of an emotion.

Tip 0: get pornography album, at least the song figurehead Tip: get a sound version with full drums and percussion, like in trilogy, so not losing these accents. I know tm from before 1980, and P was my fav, till D came out. the birth of D was not a straight line. (lol the ex drummer) For some reasons RS had not been singing on these new songs during D rehearsls, and kept lyric notes hidden. But after these notes got part(y)ly burned, he had to reinvent lots of lines. All this as the other members did not know any lyrics, while the studio days were very near. There are more pecularities about this album... Now try to listen again to D as if the words are muted/ not there.

The 12" remix is a lot better. This actually was the 7" mix. The 7" mix is not the best one. The album version is also great but for me The 12" is the best version.

This is a very moody song. I don't feel like the lighting and the ambience on that set lends itself to dropping a new listener into that song, to elicit a favorable response

Saw this live at Wembley Arena in 1979 and it was awesome. No offence, but you need to teach your son to stop saying "like" every two seconds when he tries to construct a sentence.
