Being happy - especially during COVID-19 - is more than a punchline for comedian, writer and director Chris Rock. "CBS This Morning" co-host Gayle King sits down for a candid conversation with the 55-year-old divorced comic, in which he discusses attending therapy during the coronavirus pandemic; forgiving the people who bullied him as a kid; whether he will get vaccinated; and stretching himself, by acting in the drama series "Fargo."

Wow. This interview explains a lot. Watching this after the Will Smith-slapping debacle at the Oscars. It makes total sense to me now how Chris Rock was able to keep his composure. It seems he really took to heart all the lessons he's learned from his past difficult experiences, and to just rise above them and the bullies. And that is why and how he turned out to be the better man in that situation.

I really like his attitude about his past bullies, assuming and hoping they developed into somebody better. I noticed once that lots of people talk about having been bullied, but no one seems to talk about having been a bully. Maybe it's partly because none of us want to view ourselves in that light, or because we're ashamed.

I'm really sorry I underestimated this guy all these years he's such a sweet talented affable human being whom life has shaped and molded into who he is I'm so sorry he had to be humiliated on the Oscars stage I hope all the publicity he's getting now will catapult him to the pinnacle of his career

Chris I have more respect ✊🏾 for you now than ever…….. you took that slap and still added humor to it. Sorry for your pain that you silently endured and any humiliation you feel. I am sure Jada may have felt some hurt as I also deal with severe hair loss…… I understand what Will may have been feeling. I honestly get both sides….. you bring humor and Will was trying to protect his wife. I believe I may have wanted to come to my rescue; just not that way. Don’t hurt anyone over my hurt…… I think we all need to stop inflicting pain and just practice being kind. Obviously All involved have pain that may be unspoken ….Sending, Love, Light, and HEALING YOUR WAY ❤️❤️‍🩹😘

Didn't know much about him. Didn't like him much but with that slap he got I knew instantly he did not deserve it. Been doing my bit of research on him and realized he's a great guy. So much respect for him. Hope things work out for him in that he surpasses Will Smith's wealth. And hope Will could be sincere about his internal struggles like Chris and apologize properly to Chris Rock.
