Sometimes it is hard to put it to lyrics what everyone can intimately relate to. I know so many times in life, I wonder what someone is listening to. Is it reminding them of me. Or is it just another way I can be close to them. He has such an amazing gift of words and voice. Love your reactions.

Tom Petty's music was my "get over it" music. I've loved Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers my whole life. I've since added Chris's music to that short list. I was shocked and damn near driven to tears when I found out just after Petty's passing that Chris considers Wildflowers his favorite all-time album and that Tom was a huge influence on his writing. Chris's music makes me happy I'm alive to experience it. Like I was with Tom's music. I wasn't sure that would ever happen again. To have it be so directly linked blew my mind and still does.

Incredible songwriter...try songs from when he was with The Steel Drivers. Sticks that made Thunder...a song about the Civil War from the perspective of a tree. Can you run....another song about the old south. Ghost of Mississippi...this song is just crazy cool. Peacemaker....a song from a guns perspective. So many songs he has written and they all make you think or make you feel or are relatable or sing your life or tell a story. He is genius in his music from first note to the last. We are privileged to hear his music for sure!!

I really think that among the talents that Chris has, is his way of reading people and situations. He takes those situations and he puts it in a song. Not only does he put it in a song when he sings it it’s as if he’s going through it. He feels every song he sings and is able to portray or put out that feeling. I don’t even know how to say it! He just has a gift!

How many "artist" can stand alone with a guitar and true voice and grab your heart and soul? My friend who retired 7-8 years back after a long career as a security contractor In nasty places on this planet and had become hard of soul while doing so, said the first time he heard Chris " Broken Halos"it hit him like a ton of bricks; as his wife of any many years had just passed away. So much so he listened to it 4-5 times a day until he began to find more and more of Chris music, especially once I told him of 1rst reaction videos, for me he says it best. "The music, the man and family, and reactions of people round the world to his music reminded him he still had a soul, one no different than those others in world, no matter where they lived." Then we sat and got plastered listening to "Traveler", "What are you listening to?", Fire away, and. a whole bunch of others, but it was watching his live "Tennessee Whisky" and watching interactions with wife Morgane he said there were two soul mates, and as he and I had both lost our Mates in recent past I got "Broken Halos" to play. One last drink of Cognac in a toast, and we regained humility.

Course after.I get tickets I may need and extra job for 6 months to pay for them; or I could go rob a liquor store.
