The lesson to be learned is, don’t be a pushover fool and always make sure your relationship is give and take. CW loved being a mechanic and let SW gaslight him about nonsense to push him into the oil business. He allowed SW to push him into a gigantic house they couldn’t come close to affording. He was such a fool. He should have packed and been gone when SW returned from NC. Even if the court gave SW half his income for alimony & child support, he would have been better off financially in a studio apartment. It is actually insane he didn’t take normal steps to start over. People do it all the time.

I don’t understand why she wanted him to quit his mechanic job when it started at 90k & in 3 yrs he would’ve made 250 K he started at Anadarko making 46 I believe. Makes no sense to me! I don’t believe he had carpal tunnel. I think that was a self diagnosis, from SW. makes zero sense 🤷🏻‍♀️

Shanann wanted Chris to work for an oil company and work his way up to management or become a petroleum engineer, like the guy that they lived with while their house was being built. He definitely should have stood up for himself and continue to do his career of choice. I’m not sure that Shanann understood that to be a petroleum engineer, Chris would have to go back to college and get a degree in Petroleum Engineering. Shanann would have made a lot more if she had continued to work for the car dealership as a salesperson, because she was really good at it. I know Shanann didn’t like the hours Chris had to work there (and maybe her, too, if she bad continued to work there). I know it was Chris’s personality to just do what Shanann told him to do, but in the long run, he resented that more and more. He did need to stand up for himself, but no one ever would have dreamed that he would do what he did.

They were similar in the sense appearance mattered much more than reality. To a pathology degree in that sw not getting a real job and cw murdering his family rather then get a divorce and or deal with the financial mess. Cw was an even higher level of this mindset in murdering his family rather than their life being exposed as a house of cards among other things. Cw is not the victim here in any way he is at an even higher level of a twisted mentality.

It is hard for us to understand that an apparently normal man, who spent a lot of time playing with his children, who cooked for them, who packed their little daypacks, and who never ever hit his wife - would kill all of them. A lot of people commit adultery. It is bad, but it happens. But very few people kill their spouses. I just don’t see the desire to commit plain old adultery as sufficient explanation for killing people!

She would not have handled it well I don’t think or Thrive would have been the cure for it too. Sorry but that company had a big impact of the downfall. To me too cult like. If she isn’t allowed to pick up the kids from daycare why is she allowed to drive them in the mornings? Another thing is why would she post the amount of long hours the kids had to nap for and brag about them being in bed by 6:30 each night if she is worried about cps?

Once she found out how much work motherhood is she looked for ways to have someone else deal with them & brought them out when she needed them. Once she started working for Thrive they became props & her “successful job” took up so much time that she had to resort to daycare. Lastly whoever turned her on to BabyWise did none of them any favors

Hey B, in all my years I've never heard of it either..it's no wonder that poor CeCe could do little more than grunt..a study was done in regards to child development with parental attention and interaction having a direct correlation to the child's verbal skills which sadly were nonexistent. Never, only if they were sick. My babies stopped napping around 2 years old. I have 3 kids and they all slept through the night at around 8 weeks... they may wake up once for a feeding. I also didn't put them down at 630. More like 8 or 9ish and they all slept till like 6 or 7 the next morning

it seems she had Munchausen and Munchausen by proxy re: the girls. it also seems she gave the girls Benadryl at bedtime. Many trips to doctors and hospitals. Perhaps a physician alerted CPS.

As a former RN I believe she was reported... I mean NO WAY she wasn't and let's aay she wasn't she should have been. She went through TEN doctors to say the girls has asthma.... my son went once and was diagnosed... makes no sense.

I've recently watched a video that questioned the many illnesses of Bella and CeCe. The conclusion was that Shannon had Munchausen by Proxy. She changed Dr's often until she got one that agreed to operations or further studying of the girls for unexplained illnesses. I also found out that Shannon DIDN'T have Lupus, it wasn't found in her autopsy apparently. You're also correct that the children were put into a very expensive daycare, full time (500 dollars a week) and as they were put to bed at 6.30 and woke at 6ish, daycare at 7 and picked up by Chris at 4.30 (why not their mum pick them up?) that means they only spent 2 hours awake at home. Chris had to change jobs as he worked Saturday in his last job. Interesting case but I'm from Britain so I'm only recently getting into it.

Explains Frank Sr collecting them all for the trip, and Chris bringing them home, friends staying to help, and CPS can and does order daycare in safety plans, almost evertime. Added to this Frank Sr on zoom calls each nite during SWs rather frustrated meal times. And Chris bathing them. 💔💔

I don't believe Chris loved Shanann deeply. I think he loved the idea of having a family, home, nice things and going along with society's program.... but I don't sense he was very fulfilled. IMO, he was content and just went along to get along while having a few flings and affairs on the side (I believe that woman/story from Tinder) I think Shanann emasculated Chris with her strong and bossy personality and he silently resented it. There wasn't a lot of masculine energy in that home. He probably felt very pussified (real word!!) and let's not forget, his parents didn't care much for Shanann so they picked up on something very early on. I believe he just snapped that morning. None of this was well thought out. He might've been thinking/fantasizing about it but he never planned on actually doing anything. I think he finally told Shanann when she got home and she immediately told him he would never see the girls again because she would leave him (this is where he came up with going out on the 'play date') His lies were dipped in truths. I'm still on the fence about whether he actually killed those girls. I can envision both scenarios but I do think Chris drugged Shanann when she got home. Maybe to hopefully create a miscarriage (again) or maybe to render her helpless so he could kill her without struggle. Not sure. I don't believe Nicole was physically involved at all. Although I'm curious why her phone pinged near the home that morning, I just don't think she laid a finger on anyone. I do feel Chris fell deeply in love with Nicole, and she with him.....and for the first time, he was able to measure what real love felt like. I just don't think he had that with Shanann.....ever. She was much too dominant for someone like Chris and didn't validate him as a man, nearly enough. He was just Shanann's husband and father to the girls. He lost his identity as Chris Watts (the man) until Nicole came along. Just my opinion.

Remember the lady detective Tammy said in her interview after pitching the scenario about Shanann hurting the children to Chris. In Detective Tammy personal television interview she said"Shanann was just a strong willed Italian woman" why would she just throw that in the middle of the interview if she didn't already completely know what we didn't know without explaination? THIS makes soo much sense. I thought it was odd that she was a married woman and was constantly in contact with her friends from 7am on. What adult woman with kids has time for that? It makes her look so materialistic, juvenile and pathological. The way her friend is “checking” on her and instantly thought “something was wrong”- probably because she knew something was wrong with Shanaan and her situation. I know people like that- very grandiose, authoritative and angry always the squeakiest wheel seeking attention for how fabulous they are when they actually are putting on a total facade. I had a friend who would say something horrible about a person then when we saw them lavish them with praise and a positive story I had had about them. I was floored she was stealing my identity claiming it as her own right in my face and she said “I guess it does look pretty bad”. Anything to be seen as “the good one” when they were the exact opposite in real life. Covert narcissism really runs a game on people and to me you can see it in her face when she talks. Something was really off.

This just blew me away! So much makes sense now. I always wondered why on earth those two beautiful babies went to day care for so many days, and for so many hours. THANK YOU to all involved for bringing this to the publics attention. I have never been as drawn to a case as I have been to this one. I want to make sense of it somehow …. and to get some kind of closure in my mind….. which I know won’t be entirely possible. This checked a few boxes for me. Ain't no damn way I'd ever admit to killing my kids if I didn't do it, period. He was way to happy after he knew they were dead. He killed them with help from NK. He didn't love Shannan enough to cover that up to save her reputation but he did love Nikki like that and thats why it will go to his grave.

This makes the whole story make so much more sense. It was a huge missing piece of the puzzle. I believe this is the truth. I know I did not like the way Shanann treated those girls, it didn't seem right to me. She needed supervision. She didn't seem to have a natural affinity for them.

Wow. This makes me look at the case in a whole new way. What if Chris didn't murder his children? If all this is possibly true, then Shannan hurting the girls could be a possibility.... especially if she was unhinged. Something like Chris wanting a divorce would probably trigger her, knowing he can take everything. I'm not saying Chris isn't at fault, but there's so much more evidence of Shannan doing crazy things ,(not letting Bella's hair grow, nutgate, etc).....

Hi I follow you from Italy. You are very good and the videos are very interesting. I just wanted to ask you a question: why are the comments of the video "Parenting Styles Unleashed - Baby Wise, Toddler School/Daycare" no longer visible?. that video was really interesting, the photos that portrayed Bella so wrapped up in a blanket were disturbing.... this is an abusive and violent practice.... Do you think the CPS case is due, in part, to possible healthcare abuse? I don't think Shanann would do anything to "make" the children sick, but possibly exaggerate, or exacerbate minor childhood sicknesses into more extreme illnesses. I've been troubled by a few posts that I saw where Shanann is focusing on the children and "their illnesses", but I DO think she adored her kids. This possibility would make perfect sense if CPS made a plan to have people always monitoring Shanann's parenting. My only concern is did Shanann not receive mental health treatment if THIS were a concern? Of course, those records are kept VERY private and perhaps this is why Chris sealed the children's healthcare records because it would have DEFINITELY been documented in them!! Shanann always craving internet attention would be a great alternative for the missing "health" attention she wasn't receiving. Such a sad, sad story!!!

I believe that Shanann could have had undiagnosed ADHD. The impulsive behaviours and poor decision making, the hyperfocus on Thrive to the exclusion of everything else, the poor money management, the inability to stick with education due to poor test taking, the problems with interpersonal relationships. She meets alot of the ADHD criteria.

Shenann was clearly a problematic personality. I hear chris dad say she was a little bi-polar. That could be true and if it was, its an absolute nightmare to live with. Nothing can condone what chris ultimately did but when you look deeper into the pressures of this household its not as big of a mystery why things went so wrong. Just what ive seem i couldnt last 8 days with her let alone 8 years. I think her and chris were horribly mismatched from the start. Such a sad sad situation

I see the words in the article, "This is not an attack on Shannan." However, that is a _strange_ thing to say in an article that suggests the author sought to disprove that Shannan really _was_ the one who murdered her children, but couldn't. Otherwise, what does any of this matter? The only possible relevance (if we assume that the article is accurate, including things like the legal errors) would be to support a claim from Chris that Shannan killed the children; if it was offered for a reason other than that, it would be excluded as either lacking relevance or under a 404 analysis. If folks want to have the opinion that Chris was justified in his actions, and/or that Shannan killed the children, they should really just say it; that's an opinion one can have. What's _not_ okay is offering disclaimers that one has nothing against Shannan/isn't attacking Shannan/isn't defending Chris, and then doing that very thing. If someone came across information that _genuinely_ tended to prove that Shannan killed the girls, she would be worthy of attack! It seems cowardly to point in that direction while being unwilling to say this evidence makes you think she's a bad person. ETA: I realize the last paragraph says that this talk of a list of _women_ who killed their children when backed into a corner regarding custody says that the author is applying it to Chris, but that is, charitably, implausible. Not only is the list and examples provided for comparison entirely mothers, not including a _single_ family annihilator, but all the facts given as pressures on those killers were pressures on _Shannan,_ not Chris. Almost the entire article focuses on how it was _Shannan_ who would lose the children in a divorce, until the last couple of paragraphs, the author switches the conclusion, without substantive evidence.

I've been convinced that the CPS case is true. Even before all the evidence, as people were already pointing out all the behaviors. I can see the possibility of SW being responsible for their deaths. I put just as much weight in NKs behaviors in the interviews. She couldn't help but reveal that she was just as narcissistic, controlling and demanding as SW. 2 women who have the personalities of someone who could end the lives of children. Narcissistic and selfish. Big egos. Both with motives. Then you have CW who admits to the crime, yet no behaviors that would point to him being capable. IMO, this case remains unresolved and there are 3 suspects. Taking also in consideration the very suspect behaviors of CW and NK of some sort of plan. I Lean more heavily on NK being involved. What gets me is all their communications reveal a much closer relationship than she admits to and for a longer duration. What was missing from her interviews was denial and shock that CW could've done this. Where were the emotions of losing the love she thought she had? (We saw she had very little emotions for the victims and disdain for SW.) Losing the man she so desperately wanted. I saw her denial and shock was missing, because from her own mouth he was calm, peaceful, rational and a fantastic father, so how could she just believe he did all of this right away? She knew how malleable he was, because we see how she worked him. I believe she makes the best suspect in this case
