Peggy Sue is such a great song. Such a magical good-times vibe to it that has nothing to do with modern arrogance and image-obsession (narcissism?) in music. A relic of more innocent and possibly ignorant times. Keep in mind that great classic rock came about in a world that was seeing the advent of modern nuclear weapons. The times were much more sinister than the great music would ever suggest. This includes the beginning of Elvis Presley and even Bill Haley and the Comets: Great times vibe and atmosphere from the beginning of humanity's most sinister and potentially destructive era. Yet, rock & roll lives on.
