Surreal place with an amazing history.
This place is truly special and one of it's kind.
The logging activities in 扎年 were initially started by the Japanese and by the late 70s the 國民黨established a fast rail network in the area.
Tunnels, cable car stations and train tracks up to an altitude of almost 3000 meter used to exist. Now everything is slowly disappearing, nature is taking things back.
Nevertheless this is a special place.
The hike is very technical and takes at least two days for one way. Be safe!
