Think-to-feel ratio’-perfectly stated. I also think people are really over the shame/microaggression/trigger culture that’s everywhere these days. A friend of mine runs a tourism business and recently took a group to Italy. One of her guests, who was vegan, felt Italian restaurants didn’t offer enough vegan options. In their ‘triggered moment,’ this guest went on a social media rampage against my friend, accusing her of being ‘anti-vegan’ and making them feel unwelcome. In reality, they were just upset that small Tuscan villages don’t have endless vegan options. It’s fine to be vegan, but the world can’t always accommodate that-and it’s unfair to try to ruin someone’s business because you’re disappointed. Ironically, my friend’s husband is vegan too! You just can’t win anymore. This hypersensitivity is going to be the end of society - not trying to be dramatic but everyone’s gonna “get got” at some point, we need to dial this back. Basically my story is one of the reasons why trump won if you can read between the lines.

And I have never considered trump a viable vote worth casting… I didn’t vote this year because the Republicans haven’t showed up with a viable candidate for three straight elections and the Democrats are absolutely clueless… I have firewood to split for the winner. @Steve16346 I by no means voted alone. I just happened to vote the same as about 27% of the eligible voting population compared to 28%. Keep in mind that there are nearly 265 million eligible voters in the country. Over 100 million did not vote at all. I am not prospering by any means nor was my vote to "still" prosper. Most of the entire world has been struggling since 2020 and even before then. Regardless of my vote, we are in this together and will either prosper or fail together. Preferential treatment will not be handed out based on if one voted for the winning party or not. Nearly every single vote I have ever cast for a president has been a "lesser of two evils" decision. On my state referendums I voted against what the Democrats would likely have chosen because I felt that certain bonds were not a priority at this time. A large concern of mine is the deficit and based on Trump's performance last term I reject his assertions that he will make any progress there. It's easy to make the economy "feel" good when you're paying for everything on credit and stealing from the future. From Trump, I only witnessed the pointing of fingers and complaining about problems and only offering alarmingly simple solutions to extremely complex issues. Essentially, he identifies real problems but he does not provide real solutions. A lot of the problems he has leaned into this cycle are identical to the issues Bernie Sanders has built his entire career on, he just provides solutions on the exact opposite extreme of the politcal spectrum. When compared to the rest of the world, the post pandemic recovery of the United States has been well above par. In that sense, my vote was to stay the course another four years rather than shake the boat again.

Chris how do you expect us to beat it as you say? I contributed to Kamala’s campaign and I voted for her. What else am I supposed to do? I didn’t go door to door because I was afraid of getting shot. So I did what I could do. You can only vote once. Don’t lecture that dems should have done more. Like what? I’m not a journalist, I don’t have a platform. I did my civil duty by voting.

Like a lot of us I think. I didn't vote for the house or senate in 22 because I felt they had failed, so I voted them out. This spring and again in the election a week ago, I voted for Kennedy because I felt he was the actual best person. But I live in a state where both parties have districts they could run the election as masked singers and win. They give us no other power. We all know this. If they had any fear of us whatever we would not be even allowed to vote. Start locally. My county commisioner ballot had only 1 name, and it had an R beside it.

Nothing, you did all you could. This is not an American problem but rather a global, collective problem. Right-wing influence is on the rise across most of the world.

Let's see what happens in one year. I still believe Trump is a nut job but you are correct, the temperature needs to drop. We all have to stay civilized with each other and not get so aggressive over this topic. As you said 'It is what it is', let's just hope and pray that all goes well.❤

Chris, that was an outstanding explanation! I knew all of that, and now I’m only watching your show…to gain perspective…I was sad about the outcome of the election but it is a reality and I want to know opinions and facts on all sides. Doesn't make sense? To whom? In 1998 the Dem Party and the left-wing media repeatedly and vociferously supported the criminal behavior of a sitting president who had an improper relationship with an intern with a rationalization that essentially stated those actions did not affect job performance.

@@lewy1 sorry but you are wrong. Both Pres. Clinton and Pres. Trump tried to cover up and obstruct justice regarding their past behavior: one by illegal lies under oath; one by illegal use of campaign funds. Senators of the Dem. Party voted unanimously against impeachment so there was no conviction, but there is no question what actually happened in either case. What is common and equivalent are (i) the attempted cover-ups and obstruction of justice by illegal means, and (ii) the rationalization and absolution by the affected party*. If you want to argue whether one of those means was worse than the other, that is picking the fly scat out of the pepper. The point is the blatant bias and two-faced inconsistency of the Dem. Party, who are willing to rationalize and absolve the behavior, cover up, and obstruction of justice of one of their own side but not extend that to someone else. * one of which probably pushed the MeToo movement back by two decades for naked pursuit of power

@@ernestinejenkins359 the original founders came from a place similar to modern day Europe, where outgoing members of parliment were often charged with fraud and similar charges, specifically so they could never run for office again. To prevent the government doing that, they intentionally included no disqualifiers other than age and born American... the 14th amendment was rammed through before the return of the confederacy and their ratification was basically forced. It was assumed that the people will vote for the best person (and until the 20s, the runner up was the VP) to make the best option.
