___FetchMeTheirSouls___ FetchMeTheirSouls lol I'm a female but yes I agree. Some friendships don't last forever and in spite of how much that kind of loss stings, it's just the way things are sometimes. If someone doesn't deserve your time or appreciate it, cut them off and move on. Focus on what makes you happy. It hurts less in the long term. That is, when you've freed yourself from what could have ended up being reoccurring bouts of confusion and hurt because of a bad friend. I'm glad I could cheer you up. One day your 'friend' might realise what they've thrown away or maybe not. But good things don't happen to people who treat their loved ones like shit.

+bert smith LOL What? No, it's that in 1987 seeing a video camera was a rare occurence. They were not anywhere NEAR as prevalent, mostly due to the cost of those. Cameras back then like the one they used in the original video were at minimum a thousand dollars. They were also not like smart phones where you *needed* one. They were either something you needed for work, or something you got because you were really wealthy, but they were still somewhat of a novelty back then and relatively new on the market for the regular consumer. Fast forward 30 years, we have cameras literally in everything. My fucking fridge has a camera and a television!
@ChrisIller9 жыл бұрын
+S So - read my blog on this. Cameras weren't built into phones back then, but they weren't rare either. They had just exploded as the new item to get. I was a college kid that bought one...and I wasn't rich. America's Funniest Home videos was showing videos from the '80s when it started. We were living and working at Disney World...we all saw home video cameras every day...lots of them. They weren't rare occurrences to the folks in this video.
@sso16209 жыл бұрын
Well, we got one in 85 and it was around 900 dollars which was relatively big of a purchase for us. We got it because my father and grandfather both had a passion for film and cinema, and also incidentally worked in the industry! They weren't /common/ by any standards though. By 87 you started getting the JVC home camera which was I think about 600 bucks, and a few others, but it was definitely still a huge novelty. Also I'd definitely say the atmosphere has changed quite a bit too, and agree with you but for a few different reasons. I remember disney in Florida (this is the one I went to) and the surrounding area back in the early 90s were pretty full of life, and it was also the time of a pretty big surge economically. Now... not so much. A lot of that has died, at least the area we stayed at. Not sure about this 7-11! ..are you the guy who filmed this and the original one? I just realized halfway through typing this! You really did manage to capture a lot of the nostalgia of that "era" from like '85-'98 in one take... Maybe it was just that store. Do you have a link to the blog? I have a few minutes now. Curious as to your take on it! But overall, I think it's definitely the shifting attitude, wealth, people in general in specific areas that would affect this the most. Also I think you said something about the bars closing crowd? That'd DEFINITELY have something to do with it haha
