Thanks again for the amazement and the peek behind the curtain. Just another fan Jay

When I first started doing the flipstick vanish, instead of sleeving, immediately after the vanish, I put my hand into my pocket, drop the sharpie, and pull it out, as if it transported there after the vanish. It worked well for me!

Totally forgot about that trick/idea at 5:40! About 3 years ago, I posted a video on my channel, but used a pencil instead. In my experience, a pencil works great because of its length, it flips quicker. Glad I was reminded of it again!

Just stumbled on this. LOVE the Sharpie double, that I could see using for a number of things. I think most provers that a double is a single card seem exactly like what they are. It draws unnecessary attention. The one exception for me is the ruse of inserting the double halfway into a deck and then fanning the cards. But this is great!

This is some of the most creative pen magic I've seen in a while. The jumping cap is very stunning and looks like the cap dematerializes which is soooo fooling! And that double is crazy, I definitely need to come up with a routine for that. Another pen routine that is really good, check out Dan Hauss' At the Table lecture, he teaches a great colour changing cap effect where the cap can change FOUR times!

For the trick at 8:23, it would be best to use a dry erase marker for the fake cap part, or something that rubs off easy so that you can quickly remove your evidence of anything fake and then hand it out for inspection.

Another great thing to do if you're doing it one on one, is count down from 3. 3 2 1 then say "pow" or something like that but it needs to be a strong word that you can put some breath behind as that makes your spectator blink and the moment of concealment. Gives you a few extra milliseconds to achieve the effect.
