I think this is my favorite “new” Chris Stuckmann review. He was critical of it while also being extremely kind to the film. I feel like lately he’s been avoiding being harsh on movies (I understand why) but I feel like he’s found the perfect balance with this one.
@stevie11073 жыл бұрын
Can you elaborate about why you feel / understand he’s been avoiding being harsh on movies? Just curious your thoughts 🙂
@AustinTylerProductions3 жыл бұрын
@@stevie1107 he said a few videos back that he’s going to be directing a movie of his own and it’s not very professional to be trashing on movies others make while he makes his own movies. So it’s completely understandable. I just feel like this video was perfect in being critical, while also praising the movie for what it is.
@ericspearman29983 жыл бұрын
He was meaning he wasn’t going to go the Hilariocity route anymore where he did nothing but dump on the films. Or his F reviews where he would go on angry rants. He said that he came to recognize that even the “worst” movies had a lot of effort and even love poured into them. And every movie has fans. Even the ostensibly “bad” ones. I don’t think he said he couldn’t be critical sometimes. He just said he was not feeling it for going on angry tirades about how awful a certain movie was. Which is why he no longer does the grades.
@wanghiskhan73453 жыл бұрын
@@stevie1107 I don't think it's this user's thoughts, it's because of what Chris said regarding how he won't be doing harsh critiques anymore

And Craig T Nelson voiced Mr Incredible in The Incredible, where he saved a cat as his introduction.
@stainshield6 ай бұрын
That is true and also his costar Samuel L. Jackson who would voice Frozone in Disney's The Incredibles was in another Shark Film Deep Blue Sea. But yes Craig T. Nelson not only Voiced Bob Parr AKA Mr. Incredible from Disney's Incredibles but he fought a Shark Monster in Creature, a corrupt cop in Turner & Hooch with Tom Hanks, fought Carl Weathers best known for Apollo Creed in The Rocky Films in the movie Action Jackson, worked with Lynda Carter in Wonder Woman, and he even worked with Tom Cruise. The Ending to Creature was very Dismal because as you saw Kim Cattrall's character was sad by the loss of Robin her pet Sea Lion to that monster, but Mr. Incredible destroyed The Shark Monster by causing it to explode just too bad he didn't break The Shark Monster like a Toothpick. I just wish that Robin had survived just like how The Dolphins in Jaws 3D survived and that The Ending to Creature wasn't Dismal but a little lighter like The Endings to The Jaws Movies and The Beast. That Shark Man was scary but not as scary as that Bigfoot from Abominable 2006, who do you think would win in a fight between The Shark Man from Creature and that Bigfoot from Abominable.
@christaroberts17233 жыл бұрын
I never watched Creature, but I was OBSESSED with The Beast. The book and the miniseries were why I became obsessed with giant squids, so much so that my first and only tattoo is a giant squid.

I've only seen The Beast miniseries somewhere in my late teen years and thought it was pretty lame. But yeah squids are fascinating and I can see how that can carry a movie/ miniseries that may not be good on other levels 🍻
@Cookieboy703 жыл бұрын
YES! The beast terrified me in the book and one of the reasons I developed a scare of sea monsters. My first and only tattoo is a great white shark, but a giant squid also terrfies just as much. The medusa level in Ecco the Dolphin game is ingrained in me as one of the scariest moments.

Speaking of good candidates for remakes, I always thought The Last Starfighter would be a great choice. With arcade consoles having evolved into full blown massive online multiplayer sagas, it would be super easy to modernize the script. The special effects of are dated, but the story's appeal about an average gamer being recruited into a galactic peacekeeping force is as fresh as ever.

I remember watching this movie as a kid and The Creature both inspired respect and TERROR in pre-teen me the same way JP's velociraptors did; it's a smart predator that can and will outwit us.
