Right thats the entire point of being a film critic. You cant pretend to be a critic and say youre only going to talk about good movies so you dont affect how well the not so good movies will do. The whole point is to let people know if a film is worth seeing or not so they can make a decision on wether or not to spend the money and time on it. Especially now with a lot of people short on cash its good to know if a film is worth spending 20 or more dollars to go and see.

@shawnfields23693 жыл бұрын
Same here. It's just not the same without Hilariocities, you know? If Chris wants to do more positive reviews, I don't see why he can't, but I'd definitely want to see some more Hilariocity reviews someday too, dude. Those were always my favorite things about this channel. But Chris should know that it's entirely ok to still keep doing Hilariocities, and review more positive movies. But I do hope he can talk about Halloween: Resurrection again someday. Because that movie is hilariously bad. You got Busta Rhymes jump kicking Michael through a window, then, you got Busta electrocuting Michael, through his little Myers. It's hilarious how I'm not making either of those scenes up. Resurrection was the first Halloween movie I ever saw on tv. It was hilariously bad even back then. But I legitimately didn't know this was Donald Pleasance's last movie, or that this was one of Paul Rudd's first starring roles. I'm glad and surprised it didn't end his career almost immediately, because Paul Rudd is a great actor. But damn; Halloween 6: The Curse Of Michael Myers is still the worst Halloween movie. Because Resurrection is hilariously bad, almost like The Room of the Halloween movies. But 6? This one's just bad. But I'm glad Chris talked about it regardless. I missed these reviews from him, and I'm glad to know that I wasn't the only one. Even good film critics can talk about negative movies, or talk negatively about some good movies, no movie's without flaws, but some do come pretty close. And I'd hate to see Chris just completely disregard Hilariocities, because those were his bread and butter; and like other people said here, he seemed to be having fun doing a Hilariocity again, even if it's just for the more hated side of the Halloween movie franchise. But even if he doesn't want to do these anymore, I still enjoy Chris's videos. The dude's just hilarious no matter what. Sorry if this was too long. I just had a lot to say.

@@canorth Yeah, he's the Fred Fuchs to Chris's AVGN at this point. This movie's so bad, that it killed Donald Pleasance, but I'm glad it didn't end Paul Rudd's career immediately. Because he's a great actor who doesn't do terrible movies like this one anymore. Seriously, look at the filmography of Paul Rudd, and tell me if he's still doing crappy movies now. It didn't have to be awful, but damn, this movie's just bad. Now, Paul Rudd is doing stuff like Ant-Man; and the new Ghostbusters. Which could only help his career. I've always enjoyed seeing Paul Rudd's name in a movie, but I never knew about this Halloween movie. I knew they started to keep getting worse and worse, I mean, in either Halloween: Resurrection, or Halloween: H20, Busta Rhymes does a jumping karate kick, and jump kicks Michael Myers out of the top window, and it's one of the funniest things I've ever seen. And it's way worse than this movie. At least this movie had the last appearance of Donald Pleasance, and the beginning career of Paul Rudd, so it can claim to have those things. Plus, the title of the movie sounds cool, in my opinion. Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers. About the only good things in the movie, but it's a shame this was Donald Pleasance's last on-screen performance. It feels like the dude deserved better. Anyways, sorry about the long rant. Like many other people here, I've also missed Chris's Hilariocity Reviews. But I didn't want to unsubscribe. I wanted to keep supporting Chris's channel, even if that means no more Hilariocity reviews, but I was hoping he'd still do those. I guess it's not entirely clear yet? As long as he keeps that tradition alive. I do hope he keeps doing Hilariocity reviews, because like many other people said, he seems to be enjoying them, and most of us are enjoying them, right? So why end such a successful thing? I'd at least keep the Hilariocities going, because even if you mainly just keep supporting positive movies, there's always going to be bad movies. They're not going away anytime soon. And we do need someone to help us with those, but even if he's not going to do those kinds of reviews, I'd still watch the channel anyways. Because his reviews have always been good, and while I was almost starting to get used to no Hilariocities, then this video shows up. Hopefully Chris knows that it's ok to criticize a movie, even a good movie, and still be positive about it. It's not impossible to do. But good luck to him anyways. And good luck to everyone else out there, and I hope your Halloween ends up going great.

Trust me, if you set a timer on a walking machine, at about 3 you would get there then in 10 minutes. Also, the DJ slipped into the Smith's Grove van instead of his own. That was another thing he missed. Let alone in fact you have to see his review of Alien Covenant and he gave it a B-...are you kidding me? @@jamesg8175 if you only watch reviews for the arbitrary letter rating at the end then you're probably doing it wrong. I wanna know what the reviewer thinks about the movie. Him only reviewing movies he likes just means that you're not watching for whether or not he likes a movie but rather you're watching to see WHAT he likes. It's ultimately what I've been watching his videos for since the start so his decision changes nothing for me.

I've always liked the whole concept with the zodiac/mark when it appears, Michael appears. I've always thought that was dope. I thought the kills were brutal, Paul Rudd is great, he's creepy and weird but he's the good guy. I didn't find it hilariously bad at all. Maybe the cult thing was a bit out of place, but it didn't ruin the movie for me. I've always thought Halloween 6 was badass, very dark tone, great pacing, great characters, great kills, creepy atmosphere, and great musical score. Overall I can't hate this movie or say it's shit, I don't see it the way Chris see's it sorry. I'll defend Halloween 6 to the end.

Me and my wife just had a Halloween movie marathon, haven't gotten to the Rob Zombie reboot yet. But, Jesus. The Thorn Trilogy was SO bad. BUT Donald Pleasence was definitely the highlight of all the movies imo. 😅

Halloween 6 has always been one of my favorites! I get the hate for it but I've always loved the atmosphere and the different take on the franchise. Yeah it does "ruin" the mythos of Michael Myers, but I have no problem separating this with the og. Plus we get one of the best Michaels!

I hope chris understands that there's a difference between bashing a movie and criticising it. Well thought out and constructive criticism is always welcomed. It doesn’t necessarily mean u r being negative. Hope he starts 'critiquing' new movies too without feeling guilty. There's no such thing called a perfect movie. Even the best movies can be criticized. And there's no rule that a film maker can not say anything negative about a movie that deserves a negative review. And negative reviews don't effect box office. If they did every single FnF movie would have bombed.
@avanishdutta26583 жыл бұрын
You're right, but i appreciate analysis of films more to understand the story and filmmaking elements behind it, then criticise it for what was wrong in the film. But, these reviews don't reach filmmakers at all. They don't watch youtube at all. Do you think Martin scorsese or Wes anderson or Ridley scott watch these reviews to understand what went a little sideways? I would advise, send these reviews to filmmakers. And thank you for being concerned about chris. I think at this point he will only discuss about great and good movies. He will be skeptical about some movies, but he loves movies. So let him talk good shit.
