I love what Montana and the Rockies can throw your way! OCT/NOV 2022 NW Montana we hiked in 7.5 miles with 80 lbs each for a 10 day backcountry hunt, went in at 42 degrees and woke up to 22” of snow and single digits. Lost the trail and switchbacks to drifts and decided we couldn’t pack game out if we harvested one, so bailed out and headed 3 hours south. It took all day to hike out by cutting trail in that deep snow, but felt amazing when we made it out and rested up. Ended up seeing four bulls and my friend was fortunate enough to take one of them at 165 yards. Great times!!!

We were the guys on horseback, that was an absolute brutal week of elk hunting. I was pregnant with our son, and my husband and I managed to get two bulls. But boy did we have to work for it.

What an exceptional video! This illustrated a realistic Montana elk hunt. A mixture of glassing, hiking and driving to close the game on some tasty critters in a lovely Montana storm. Also, I would like to mention that its very refreshing to see people harvesting cow elk. Anymore nowadays, social media and hunting turns into a horn hunting glorification contest. Elk is my favorite meat, better than anything. So jealous. I just finished making an elk heart Philly-cheese sandwich with a huge loaf of bread and it was so delicious. I could hunt everyday of the year and love every minute of it. Thanks for bringing us along

So many people hating on this acting like people won’t utilize roads when they are there?!!!at least they are real enough to show it how it is and not hop out of the truck and start the video acting like they are way deep into backcountry. Relatable film solid work. I will say one thing is that if I’m on public hunt-able land and there is a road that I can access I sure wouldn’t park my truck at the far end of it and start walking

It really was insane weather. We were hiking back from a spike camp during that storm to our trailer just down the road from where you guys camped. Crazy first out of state hunt for us for sure.

I guess if you’re a public figure then Christensen will make sure your rifle works. I’ve owned 2 of their rifles and know many other who own them and their rifle can’t group at all. Poor quality for the price

Elk are, where the elk are! Weather looks like normal late Montana white sky vomit. LoL I own 3 Christensen Winny Mags. 2 Mesa LRs, and one carbon. All 3 will shoot 1/2 minute at 1K if I do my part. Congrats on the wapiti, and I hope whoever received that meat will appreciate it.
