The best thing you can do when making a name/making it big in the rock world....is MAKE SURE you stay the same type of fan you were before anyone knew your name! It's magical when people do that and Christian is totally there and his room/vinyl collection shows it!!!!

Ok I know I’m super late to this video but this is absolutely mind blowing and you interviewed Christian perfectly! Didnt ask a lot of questions You just let it develop organically I mean you can tell Christian lives to share the history behind his art and his memorabilia so you really didn’t have to lead him in any way. He’s a fantastic story teller who’s seen it all! I could’ve spent hours there listening to him spin yarns about bands and artists and music This is fantastic Dillan! Peace ☮️🤘👽✌️☮️

There are actually high-end moving-coil cartridges that go easy on surface noise. Koetsu and Benz cartridges are pretty good for this. I don't really care for the voicing of the Ortofons, but when I listened to all four at an audio club shootout I actually liked the blue better than the black.

Might get flamed for this, but what ya gonna do.... while I have a few Japanese pressings & boxsets they really aren't the best sonically (there are exceptions). Most aren't from the masters and are quiet because of noise suppression. Just give me tape hiss and all the unfiltered glory. Great collection! Thanks!

I love that room his record collection is probably amazing, but those guitars, Classic. He sounds like a very interesting dude, but I had to laugh here, just like the company did, “I called MCINTOSH and asked them where the equalizer was”,priceless as I’m sure there was a manual that came with the piece of equipment if brought new and that seems like a question that you would ask before making the purchase. Roy Hall isn’t an angry dude at all, he is actually a nice guy who has a low tolerance for bs and he speaks his mind. If you ask Roy Hall a question, you will get his opinion and yes he has the tendency to let a few choice words fly. The audio industry at times has the tendency to be dishonest and Roy Hall seems to speak the truth more than most, which makes him an oddity nowadays. Great video here, very entertaining. I would love to own that GNR box set.
