Blackshaw is the best living Mozartian. Every phrase is so beautifully shaped, his timing immaculate, the dynamics extraordinary: everything sounds inevitable yet everything is a surprise.

Couldn't agree more: I had the pleasure to listen to his concert in Lerici last August and have a coffee with him the day after: a great gentleman and one of the most outstanding pianists I know

That last remark in your comment (after the colon) is a perfect summary of most all of Mozart's work.

A Mozart era piano is so very lightly calibrated, I got to play one in Kent, UK. Changed how I hear Mozart forever, and this is how it would sound, based on the instrument Mozart had at his disposal.

Beautifully played; so sensitive to detail. Compared to Horowitz , it’s sublime.
