I occasionally watch this channel. I'm not sure the purpose of this particular video. I do agree that we need to focus on essential points, issues of Christianity but many times what you say is essential I might say that such is not essential and some things that I say is essential and you say no way Jose. And when it comes to describing what the gospel is many people delve into the proper response to the gospel and state that that is the gospel but those are two different things. Gospel is primarily Jesus Life Ministry death burial Resurrection Ascension. How we respond appropriately and properly to that gospel is essential but many people claim a couple items as essential and nothing else and others say that there's five things or four things or three things or six things that are essential but we can't seem to agree on what the essential things are. It comes down to for me what is God's word and man's word and many times man's word has twisted God's word and therefore many people are fed the gospel properly but the response to the gospel improperly and then disciples are not produced and people are not in Christ, they are false disciples.

As far as Christians being intellectual, you quote Augustine and Kepler. But they were not evangelicals but Catholic and Lutheran. When discussing your cause, you have to include young earth creationism and the rapture (among many others) as part of your tribe. I would call this anti-intellectual. No wonder your critics are the way they are. Evangelical scholar Mark Noll wrote "The Scandal of the Evangelica Mind". You don't have to read the book just read the title.
