Resurrection sign, shroud sign, for those who don't hear Jesus saying; the only sign is that of Jonah. A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of [a]the prophet Jonah.” And He left them and departed. How can anyone keep from laughing at some podium jockeys? Theologians grant Doctorates as if we were dealing with a science having fantasyland vocabulary. We know this wolf in sheep's clothing by their practice of indoctrinating children with their fantasyland narrative, & their vocabulary of The Garden of Eden. Freud wrote, "The antidote to Christianity is literacy." I don't teach Christians because I expect them to learn, I teach them because they are illiterate.

This idea of leaving Atheism shows a total misconception of what Atheism is, it is not an ideology or a belief, it is simply a lack of belief so it is incorrect to say one has left it. I don't belief in the tooth fairy but it does not mean I am part of an ideological group and I somehow can leave such a group, it is simply a lack of belief. You channel consistently exposes itself as totally misunderstanding about Atheism, because it is not a ideological group that somehow follows common values you cannot attribute it as been against religion or somehow a threat, Atheist values come from many subjective personal views and experiences from the scientific approach of lack of verifiable evidence to simply having no interest in the subject matter and not entertaining such. How about trying to argue your ideology by proving God exists ? You cannot, no one has ever done so and the best we often see is using the bible to prove the bible which is a logical fallacy, the desperation of the church to try push its message has simply come down to attacking others to make Christianity look like the logical obvious choice, it is called misdirection simply because you have no real method anymore of to convince ppl to belief a God exists.

And in finding Christ, I found also the Holy Spirit, which has brought me a joy I didn't know existed. After reading your post, I sent out a prayer for you, someone I don't know, with tears in my eyes, that you find Christ and God, and in doing so the Holy Spirit. This is amazing. I'm a recently converted and baptized follower of Christ (recent as in just a few months) and some of my biggest hangups have been being able to connect science to the book of Genesis, not just creation, but the events thereafter. These videos offer great insight for all the toughest questions for the most questioning believers, such as myself. I believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that Christ is our savior, have already experienced the Holy Spirit and, as he said at the end, feel myself less inclined to sin. I don't drink anymore, I no longer pursue lustful temptations, I don't swear as much (still drop a few, but getting better), not depressed, and learned to manage my anger. Your videos have been very helpful in solidifying my faith, especially the discussions with Frank Turek.

You have a scientific background? Maybe you can help me with some scientific problems from just the first 2 pages: The Genesis 1 creation account conflicts with the order of events that are known to science. In Genesis, the earth is created before light and stars, birds and whales before reptiles and insects, and flowering plants before any animals. The order of events known from science is just the opposite. 1:1-2:3 God creates light and separates light from darkness, and day from night, on the first day. Yet he didn't make the light producing objects (the sun and the stars) until the fourth day (1:14-19). And how could there be "the evening and the morning" on the first day if there was no sun to mark them? 1:3-5 God spends one-sixth of his entire creative effort (the second day) working on a solid firmament. This strange structure, which God calls heaven, is intended to separate the higher waters from the lower waters. 1:6-8 Plants are made on the third day before there was a sun to drive their photosynthetic processes (1:14-19). 1:11 God lets "the earth bring forth" the plants, rather than creating them directly. Maybe Genesis is not so anti-evolution after all. 1:11 In an apparent endorsement of astrology, God places the sun, moon, and stars in the firmament so that they can be used "for signs". This, of course, is exactly what astrologers do: read "the signs" in the Zodiac in an effort to predict what will happen on Earth. 1:14 God makes two lights: "the greater light [the sun] to rule the day, and the lesser light [the moon] to rule the night." But the moon is not a light, but only reflects light from the sun. And why, if God made the moon to "rule the night", does it spend half of its time moving through the daytime sky? 1:16 "He made the stars also." God spends a day making light (before making the stars) and separating light from darkness; then, at the end of a hard day's work, and almost as an afterthought, he makes the trillions of stars. 1:16

- Jesus was crucified on a ***Wednesday*** as the prophecy in the Old Covenant/Testament Book of Daniel foretold which happened. Jesus rose on Saturday before the evening which marks the next day on Israelite calendar [after 6pm is considered the next day]. - It's not Easter which is a pagan holiday, it's actually Passover, the Apostles would have ***never*** celebrated a pagan holiday. Catholicism has made the much of the world believe Easter/ISHTAR is a New Covenant/Testament holiday. It may be argued with strong support, that Scripturally the Catholic Church is the home of the Antichrist system, and false Israel _[Juuz]_ are in control of the Roman Catholic Church, since God/Jesus foretold the final kingdom/empire of mankind _[the kingdom/empire of the Antichrist]_ that will rule before He returns is described in one way as **A woman who rides the best** - the woman represents spiritual haroltry _[what most Israelites did in the Old Covenant/Testament, they would fall into worship of the false 'gods' of pagan nations thus cheating on God/Jesus many times],_ the arguable one world religiion will be the religion of the Antichrist _[ecumenalism]_ which most of the world will embrace _[2Timothy3:1-9 and many other proof text verses],_ and the beast is the ruthless final kingdom / empire that will arise like how Rome was a ruthless kingdom - thus, the Roman Pontiff wears the yarmulke and i once saw a video where the "Rabbi" admits they took over the Roman Catholic Church circa 1000 A.D., so the Roman Pontiff is apparently always a Ju. You must NOT call him "Pope" _[hence why i refer to him as the Roman Pontiff]_ which means "Spiritual Father" which is blasphemous abomination since Jesus taught there is only one Father, HIM in Heaven, and to call no man "Rabbi" _[Master]_ for there is only one that is Jesus the Christ/the _[only]_ God.

His infinite multiverse explanation is exactly right. This kind of philosophy has been debated for centuries and it was debunked by Thomas Aquinas very thoroughly, who was a brilliant rationalist. The gist is, The study of cause and effect will render that everything has a cause. Every single idea about what the universe is, is necessarily finite and therefore it had to have been caused. So therefore there must be an uncaused cause, a necessary being. Not a thing, nor an energy, but existence itself. This is what we call 'God'. And because we know that things which are finite, even fields and forces, have no creative power, then this being must be a 'person'. This being cannot be lesser than anything or any finite idea, but always greater than every idea and every thing, even time and space no matter how large and mathematically infinite we try to make it. 'and this is the greatest knowledge of God we can have in this life, that we know him to be greater than every thought we were ever able to think of him.'

@@Nahash5150 “Everything has a cause.” You literally typed that out as a fact. Then two sentences later, you not only contradicted your claim but you also made a new convenient un-caused cause that is also conveniently a being. Even if it exists, which you’d or someone would have to prove first, why does it have to be a being? And if it exists, then it needs a cause and on and on. All of which is to say that you’re engaging in what’s called special pleading, which is basically a “rules for thee, but not for me” double standard.
@Byorin7 ай бұрын
@@bearde_mut9731 don’t accuse me of assuming, when that is exactly what you are doing with your god. Not only are you assuming that thing exists, but you’re also assuming it is eternal. How do you know either of those are true, and better yet can you demonstrate it? It looks and sounds like you are trying to talk your god into existence. And if you are going to make an exception fr this god not needing a cause, (AKA special pleading), then why can’t the universe do the same by not having a cause? Maybe the universe is eternal, and it just collapses and expands over and over. Regardless, I do NOT assume to know the origin of reality and this universe, and I’m Ok with admitting that. You should try that out, but you’ll need some humility first. Edit: almost forgot, as far as we know, there was never no matter. Evidence shows it was all condensed into a singularity, which eventually “exploded” and interacted to develop what we now call our universe. If you claim your god existed somehow outside of time, space and matter then you are effectively saying it “existed” at no time, in no place and with no parts at all. That’s a something came from nothing argument.
@Byorin7 ай бұрын
@@bearde_mut9731 the only feelings I have on this matter are amusement and slight frustration with your special pleading nonsense. I do not care whether or not the Big Bang or any other scientific proposal is wrong because I’m not emotionally attached to it, so i just go where the truth is. Can you say the same about your god beliefs? One thing I will emphasize is that you are clearly not understanding the basic premise of the Big Bang. Matter was not created by the Big Bang. The matter was already there, so stop misrepresenting the theory. Now why it was there, I do not know and will (edit: not claim) to know. You however are claiming there is some kind of entity that existed before all this and presumably made itself and the universe out of nothing. How you know that is a mystery that you have yet to answer, which is why I’m amused and frustrated. Regardless, have a nice day.

Hugh Ross is openly defiant of the Noah’s flood account, maintaining it was only a regional phenomenon. Genesis 7:19 plainly states, “And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.” Because he lacks understanding of this simple statement, I do not consider him to be a reliable teacher. 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 4 “(for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” It seems to me that he places his own reasoning above the only factual reporting on the subject we have, the Word of God.

There is quite literally no evidence that there was a global flood at any time since modern humans have existed. But there is an incredible amount of evidence of flooding between the Tigress and Euphrates rivers. This would have been the entire known world at the time of the flood story. Every Mesopotamian culture has a flood story, which means that they either come from a shared tradition or a shared event. Hugh's interpretation is the only one backed by any evidence. It is more likely the only time on earth the entire globe was covered with water was in the Archean Eon around 2 to 4 billion years ago.
