It's really amazing to sit down and compare Christian Ideas with those of Hinduism. The similarities are really astounding. In this video, I explore the Hindu idea of One God being revealed through many guises. In Hinduism Brahman is regarded as the ultimate source of reality. Each individual holds Brahman in his heart as his or her true identity. God therefore, reveals himself through a myriad of gods and goddesses. I compare this notion with the activity of angels we find in the Bible. Often God and Angels are ambiguous. The idea that Hindu's regard Devas and the revealers of Brahman and Christians regard Angels as the revealers of Yahweh is an extraordinary correlation.

You are right sir. We don't follow any particular book and we are in continuous evolution by time with no bars, we follow Hindu Gods, Allah, Christian, Buddha, Guru Nanak or anyone who has some kind of good done to human being for earth for a time period and take lessons from them too. But we do believe in 1 God theory and multiple of it and all dimensions (not to be considered with aliens) and neither we are negative Atheist (Those who scold the God and try to defame them all time) , we are not limited to materialistic world or Hell or Heaven , it's beyond that. We have just 4 base structure called "4 Vedas" I.e Be a vegitarian , or do the least possible damage as a human to environment and respect others and have a normal life without getting lost in things like wealth, power, anger, greed, temptation etc and also go absolutely merciless when defending yourself from evil and evolve with time. When time comes , we will make new rule for us to adjust with environment. May Jesus bless you. 🙂

While you will understand more about Christianity by understanding Hinduism, the truth remains that Sanathana dharma is universal truth that which can be experienced by all humanity and realise that God is in every one and everyone can realise God within themselves, but Christianity which requires that you can realise God only thru Christ. Only by believing in Christ. Christianity has tolerance towards Hindus but cannot have acceptance. While Sanathana dharma is intrinsically accepting all faiths. This is a very important difference.

One thing I don't get is non Christians saying we worship Jesus. We are supposed to be worshiping God. And I accept all religions. Hinduism is my 2nd favorite religion. One of the reasons is that it has a very strong bond.

The similarities between the two become even more clear when looking at the Eastern Orthodox church and Bhakti yoga. Bhakti focuses on singing as it's primary form of worship, if you go to an Orthodox church service, the majority of the service is taken up by the singing and chanting of prayers and psalms. Bhakti uses mantra as a meditative practice the most well known being the Mahamantra: "Hare Krishna Hare Krishna/Krishna Krishna Hare Hare /Hare Rama Hare Rama /Rama Rama Hare Hare / the Orthodox Church has the Jesus Prayer:" Lord Jesus Christ, son of God, have mercy on me, " as well as the use of a mala, called a prayer rope. Both traditions teach that you should pray without ceasing, ie have the mahamantra/Jesus Prayer going in your head mentally constantly as a way to remain focused on God. Orthodox even has a rough equivalent of God realization, teaching that a sincere practitioner will begin to glow with the light of God and eventually become an embodiment of that light. I'm only now beginning to read about this tradition, but it fascinates me as I've always see Christianity as a form of combined Karma & Bhakti yoga since I first learned about Hinduism and yoga.

(Manusmriti, MS IV: 30) The families of non-believers are destroyed sooner than later. (Manusmriti, MS III: 65) If a woman should not grant her man his desire, he should bribe her. If she still does not grant him his desire, he should hit her with a stick or with his hand, and overcome her, saying: 'With power, with glory I take away your glory!' Thus she becomes inglorious. (Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 6.4.7) It is the highest duty of the woman to burn herself after her husband. (Brahma Purana 80.75) When a woman, proud of her relations [or abilities] deceives her husband (with another man), then the king should [ensure that] she be torn apart by dogs in place much frequented by people. And the evil man should be burnt in a bed of red-hot iron. Why this comparison? Hinduism is mother of all religions of the world, that has existed long long long before founders of other religions opened their eyes in this world. We are proud to be descendants of Rama, Krishna, Mahaveer, Buddha Guru Nanak, Guru Govind Singh. Let's be proud of great ancestors even if we follow faiths of alien land. Nicholas Leclair yea a good friend of mine is Asatru. My experience is that Asatru can be dangerous because Vikings desired an eternal war in the afterlife and my buddy's dreams suggested that that was exactly what he was getting. I recommended a Buddhist meditation and that seems to have turned his dreams on the right track. So, Asatru is interesting but risky as a practice.

Not everyone was running around with a battle axe hoping to fight for all eternity. The fight at the end of Ragnarok was not eternal. The real differences are - the Karma of each individual and reincarnation on account of it, is in Hinduism! The cyclical nature of things in the Eastern concepts are unlike linear nature of Western philosophy! There is no concept of collective sin in Hinduism, if any thing, it is individual's own making! Each life time in Hinduism is for working towards diminishing the pending Karmic 'sins' so that the individual can get the release from the transactional world, with all its sufferings, to the blissfulness of merging in the Brahman! These are the inimical differences of the two systems! Hinduism accepts other belief systems without any conditions but the reverse is not true!

(Manusmriti, MS IV: 30) The families of non-believers are destroyed sooner than later. (Manusmriti, MS III: 65) If a woman should not grant her man his desire, he should bribe her. If she still does not grant him his desire, he should hit her with a stick or with his hand, and overcome her, saying: 'With power, with glory I take away your glory!' Thus she becomes inglorious. (Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 6.4.7) It is the highest duty of the woman to burn herself after her husband. (Brahma Purana 80.75) When a woman, proud of her relations [or abilities] deceives her husband (with another man), then the king should [ensure that] she be torn apart by dogs in place much frequented by people. And the evil man should be burnt in a bed of red-hot iron. Another interesting fact, I'm telling this based on this video and also from my understanding of sayings of Allah which I came across in other videos: Even in Quran, Allah refers to Himself as "We" which again is a plural. Yet another point, Hinduism does not stop with the plurality of the one ultimate Truth with just the Deities or Devas, it goes on to include the plurality of the one Brahman with all that exists including all the living and non-living beings. The Vedas declare that the world as we experience now came into being when the Brahman decided to Itself, "Let Me be many" ("Itself" because there is no "He" or "She" with the Supreme Being denoted by the Sanskrit word, Brahman). So it's not only the gods which "are" that one ultimate Supreme Being, but all the creation including us "is" that Supreme Being. "Is"ness itself is Brahman because there cannot be any "being" without That! A derivative fact of this is that there is no absolute evil or devil in Hinduism, because the underlying nature of everything is Brahman as It has only become the vice and the virtuous. The difference is of apparent degree and is not of kind.

As far as Hinduism the fact that the Hindu gods seem to have individual identities and personalities and that in Christianity the angels are depicted in a way that makes them seem more like tools being used by God rather than having individuality personalities or the ability to act on there own accord.Thats seems like a preaty big difference but if you look at the phrase "One God many forms" Christianity puts more empasis on the Idea of "one God" and Hinduism puts more emphasis on the idea of many forms and the reason why Biblical stories and Hindu mythology seems so different from each other is that Hinduism puts more emphasis on the idea of "many forms" and Christianity puts more emphasis on "one God." If you examine both religions closely they are both saying that there is "one god many forms" but each one puts greater focus on one part of the statement more so than the other.

One of the best things that I love in Christianity is the whole concept of the Trinity: One God subsisting in three Persons. Great video, but I disagree at 7:40 about Saints and Angels. In Protestant Christianity you are 100% correct! However in Catholicism it's 100% false especially in Italy and Latin America. Saints, Angels, and Mary are invoked first as intercessors between mankind and God. Protestant Christianity however denies Saints, Angels, and Mary in this context. Catholicism and Hindu more specifically are the most similar.
