If ur impatient and u want ur assurance of salvation here u go: 1 john 5:13 “These things have I written unto ye that believe on the name of the Son of God that ye may know ye have eternal life” How can you know you have eternal life? Works(repenting of sins, etc)? No This is how: “Believe on the name of the Son of God”. Your first time believing on the Lord Jesus Christ who paid for all your sins, is PRECIOUS. God saved you in that moment, Gave you everlasting life in that moment, You were born again in that moment, Bore the one fruit as a natural branch of Christ(being human like he was). Read 1 john’s letter in kjv it’s like a golden light in darkness ❤✝️

Hi, and pleased to meet those at Theocast ; Any person born physical on earth is a witness to the true spirit light of Life ; that each human was Already born from above - that is why they showed up on earth ; everyone being equal by the spirit of Father and Son, even as each person who had also come into the Israel system (world) of covenants, i.e, John 1:9.10 ; et al. Dear friend you may really like meeting the Last Adam in spirit that once for all replaced the first adam, realizing that all sin (misaim) was based upon breaking of precept or covenant law, of which requirements none have been born with or under for almost 2000 years . That with simplicity to say, that no one can misaim in the eyes of Elohim, without having Israel's new covenant or law, to transgress or to break . I am thankful sir to be hearing your video that i may refer to the true grace and peace, instead of a new coven religion given to Israel, of which religion i myself once used to entertain, but then having found that ended at the second coming over Jerusalem with Christ's messengers ... this I am typing by Father's kindness to be thankful, and to bless you my brother in the true family of God with all humanity. .

Re the SR podcast, how do you deal with church discipline where someone is an addict who is doing all they think they can to fight the addiction but they still keep on failing over a long period of time. They would say that each time they do repent, but they keep on failing.

Could you please suggest books with a Biblical confessional reformed point of view of our identity in Christ, I grew up with Neil T Anderson so my perspective needs correction...

Thanks for this. I'm new to this, so not sure if you answer questions in the comments, but here goes: 1. Doesn't 1 Corinthians 10:13 hold out the promise that it is possible for Christians not to sin at least in terms of sins of commission? If it doesn't hold out that promise, what promise is it holding out? 2. Doesn't "sinner" in the New Testament mean something along the lines of a person who is unregenerate and actively rebelling against God and the Gospel, i.e. a "sinner" is not simply someone who sins? I haven't found anywhere in the New Testament where Christians are clearly referred to as sinners. 1 Timothy 1:15 and James 4:8 may appear to do this, but when Paul refers to himself as a sinner in 1 Timothy, he's talking about what he was when God saved him and when James refers to his readers as sinners, it could be a rhetorical device with his point being that their behaviour is such that it makes them look like sinners. Paul's use of "sinner" in 1 Timothy 1:9 actually shows that to be "just" and to be a "sinner" in the way that he uses those terms in that verse are mutually exclusive. However, Paul is also clear that Christians do sin, and so in Paul's terminology a sinner is not simply someone who sins and a Christian does not become a sinner by sinning. If this is correct, Luther's phrase "simul justus et peccator" (righteous and sinner at the same time) would be better refined to "simul justus et peccatrici" (righteous and sinful at the same time). I.e. Christians are not sinners even though they sin, because sinners are those who do not fight against their sin, rather Christians are saints who sometimes sin due to the desires of the flesh within them waging war against their souls, but Christians actively fight against those desires. 3. Even if you think what I've said above in Question 2 is wrong, and you think we should still refer to Christians as sinners isn't it important to maintain a distinction between sinners who are Christians and sinners who are unbelievers because of the New Birth? I.e. Christians are not simply people who have been justified but who have been left unchanged in every other respect, but Christians are people who are have been born again and are new creatures/creations. We have been given new hearts so that whereas before the orientation of our hearts was to rebel against God, now the orientation of our hearts is to trust God, though we still have sinful passions remaining in the flesh. Although these may seem more like statements rather than questions, this is something that I would like to be corrected on if I'm wrong. (N.b. This is just on the first podcast, not the SR podcast)

On the contrary, over and over again the New Testament Christians are admonished against sin. "Let every man that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity"... We have put sin to death, we're told to mortify the deeds of the flesh, etc.. Look at 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Ephesians 5:3-5, Galatians 5:19-21, and Revelation 21:8. Personally, those verses terrify me and I'm not going to take a chance and live according to my flesh with reckless abandon because, "Eh, believers still sin; God expects us to sin." Just because we have the ability to sin doesn't mean it's an excuse to sin. John said in 1 John that he was writing so they wouldn't sin, but IF they did, the Lord Jesus is our advocate. He didn't die on the cross so we could live in sin and please our flesh, all while claiming we trust in Him. Again, I'll point you to 1 John where it says if we walk in the darkness while claiming to have fellowship with Christ, we are liars and don't practice the truth.

@exag0ra
@exag0ra Жыл бұрын
@@kevinallard5859 Yes, more of a general comment. I just believe Christianity (especially in our culture in the West) is very soft against sin today. We don't tell people to put sin to death, we tell them it's okay to live the way they're living because, "everyone struggles with something."

Homosexuality is still an abomination and there is no such thing as a marriage between two men that is condoned by God. These disgusting relationships never brought forth a single life, yet caused many deaths by propagating diseases. Any church that tells you that being gay is fine with God is not a real church and they don't know God...
@exag0ra
@exag0ra Жыл бұрын
But if you come to know something is sin (aka, sodomy/homosexuality) and you live in that sin knowingly without repenting, would you think that person is still a Christian? They're actively rejecting truth and living in rebellion. Read 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. It's abundantly clear there are lists of sins that will not inheret the kingdom of heaven.

@@exag0ra God created everyone with a unique orientation. As unique as your God-Given fingerprints. No Two are the same. One of the letters is for you. You are included. No exceptions. Zero excuses. The kingdom of God is within you and at hand. Have you ever been there? You can't enter his rest because who you are authentically beds over for who you want to be. @@dansaber5853 Where is that rooted in Scripture? Disprove the verses I linked, please. How does your view account for the Scripture I posted? This LGBT-affirming garbage that's circulating today is NOT Biblical and completely against orthodox Christianity. We are told to "expose unfruitful works of darkness", not affirm them. Not commend people for living in sin. Read Romans 1, you're doing exactly the latter part of the passage and glorying with those living in open rebellion. Just the same as gossiping, if a believer is caught in a "white collar sin" like gossip, we should just as much expose that. My whole point, if someone is living in habitual, unrepentant sin, they are lying to themselves. We all mess up, but our hearts in how we respond to sin prove how much we actually care about sin or walking with the Lord.

@@exag0rai don't condone homosexuality/trans by any means at all (I'm actually total against it all together), but I do remember reading a verse were Jesus is talking to the Pharisees that the tax collectors & prostitutes will enter into the kingdom before they do. I notice that lgqtb (whatever it is) arent in this passage but they are sinners as well along with the prostitutes & tax collectors. Why are the sinners getting into the kingdom? Belief/faith in Jesus Why aren't the pharisees getting into the kingdom? Belief/faith in their own works & self righteousness I'm really not trying to start an argument at all, but I found this interesting. Just something to think about
