This is what Gordon H Clark, and John W. Robbins have emphasized throughout their ministry. And im not exalting them but the truth is we ought not to confuse Law and Gospel. They were Presbetyrians. I am Reformed Baptist and sadly some have confused Law and Gospel indeed. I am so glad to see Reformed Confessional Baptist that clearly affirm and believe the true Gospel message which is apart from the law for the Gospel is good news, consisting of true statements declaring the Person and the Finished work of Jesus Christ 2000 years ago, true statements recieved solely by and through faith. Everything else flows from the Gospel understanding for it is the power of God unto salvation to those who believe it to be true. Good Works/ Law obedience are result never a condition nor a ground at all for salvation.

Don't confuse Gordon H. Clark with John Robbins. GHC was not teaching the Once Saved Always Saved nonsense that Robbins promoted.

Speaking of Durbin and the guys in Arizona, I saw a video of him criticizing (refuting) Jon Moffitt and the conversation he had with Doreen Virtue about Federal Vision, Theonomy, and Dominionism. The video is called “Refuting an Embarrassing Critique of God’s Law” by Apologia Studios.

A few comments. I cannot help but wonder why you do not name John Piper as the boogeyman you refer to. Is Desiring God Ministries so powerful it scares you? I was surprised to hear you correctly say loving Christ is law, but then go on to infer that hating sin is Gospel. I am sure John MacArthur was pleased to hear you say that.

one thing; they did not infer that hating sin is Gospel; they only mentioned how Paul was in struggle with sin in Romans 7 after being justified, because some say that he (Paul) was talking about himself before being saved.

@@garrettliska3513 Garrett, I don’t intend on getting into a series of “yes they did”, “no they didn’t” so all I can say is you need to listen to it again more carefully as you obviously went to the bathroom on that portion.

Having listened to several Theocast programs, I have come away with the very strong sense of "Ours is the correct theology, and if your views do not closely conform to ours you are at best misled, at worst heretical." Am I wrong to get this impression? If so, I welcome informed correction. Your talks seem in conflict with the idea of sola scriptura, that idea being that any thoughtful and reasonably intelligent man should be able to read the Bible for himself and determine its meaning. Again, am I wrong to think that? An atheist might say something like "The fact that there are so many debates over the centuries, between well-meaning and learned Christians, about the nature of God and of Jesus' mission, clearly shows that if there is a God that he IS hidden and IS the author of confusion." A Catholic might say something like "You folks clearly have a "magisterium" of your own, with official doctrines developed and taught by human scholars and pastors. There's no more "sola scriptura" in your world than there is for those who follow the Catholic Catechism." I'd be very interested in your response.

they have the reformed perspective... anyone who is reformed would agree with them, I'm a presbyterian who holds to WCF, they are solid in all their theology besides credobaptism lol

Who cares what a Catholic or an atheist might say? Truth is truth, false teaching is false teaching, scripture is clear on this. They are Reformed, they are Confessional, they will not be popular, the gospel is offensive

hey Vic I would encourage you to watch them more. As far as contradicting Sola Scriptura, nobody reformed holds that the confessions/creeds are infallible. I have found they typically present their theological convictions with justification, and I believe they exercise a healthy level of theological prioritization.
