I take Luke's use of the word "world" to pertain to the tribes scattered throughout what was considered by them as the "civilized world" as in Acts 2:9 and following i.e. Parthians, Medes, Elamites, Mesopotamia, etc. They all traveled to their "home away from home" three times a year--i.e. Jerusalem.

I believe he forgot another verse that preterists preface the phrase "all the tribes of the earth will mourn" when identifying who is mourning in the land/earth which is found in Zechariah. Zechariah 12: 10-14 “And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn. In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. And the land shall mourn, every family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of Shimei by itself, and their wives by themselves; all the families that remain, every family by itself, and their wives by themselves. The verses he mentioned with that phrase Matthew 24:30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Revelation 1:7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. Just something to consider when reading these verses in the new testament.

Hi. I have just seen most of your videoes on you de-converting. I have myself been at a very similar place. I became a Christian a few years ago and became a full-preterist duing the Covid lockdown. I have really been enjoying your videoes and are both sad and glad that you have found freedom in not uploading more videoes on this topic. I'm currently now a deist, something I wondered you might also be from your last video? ;) Anyways, I just want to thank you somehow, even though I don't know if you will see this comment. Luckily for me I have managed to escape religion before even turning 18, so thank God (hehe) and you for that. Thank you.

@MJ Thanks for sharing! I am very glad that you have escaped the prison that religion creates for the mind. Billions of people are trapped in it. I spent probably thousands of hours over my 32 years as a Christian beating myself up mentally and emotionally over my "sins". What a waste of time! I wish I could erase all that needless pain I suffered. I am VERY happy you won't waste your life doing that. You can just work on being the best person you can be everyday. Like we all should. If I played a small role in helping you escape religion that makes all my videos worth it. To answer your question, I don't know if a god exists (technically I would consider myself an agnostic because that is what the evidence humanity has available tells us) but I am hopeful there is an afterlife (mainly because of NDE's and things I mentioned in my final video) and that it is much better than this one. I wish you all the best and thanks again for letting me know you escaped! That makes me incredibly happy.

I believe the point you miss out that what actually happened in the 70 AD is that there has come a new covenant. Jesus said that my word will judge people on the last day. What that practically mean is the worldwide rules of what is good and what is wrong are now decided based upon Jesus words, not the mosaic law. Does that make sense?

And that is why Isaiah writes that sinners will be destroyed, because sinners are now revealed through Jesus's teaching and now can be punished. If that makes sense as well..

The child of grace has no say in their natural birth and likewise they have no say in the new birth- I am all in- when it comes to escaping what passes for the faith that was ones delivered to the saints of our day- Sonship and Decipelship are two different matters my neighbor- the child of grace can choose not to be a decipel for we must count the cost- but concerning Sonship -they have no say in the matter.

A little bit of history might help you. You clearly don't understand. "Nations" did war with one another within the Roman Empire. Josephus records it. Ed Stevens book, The Final Decade Before The End would help you a bit. Your confusion is dismaying.

@Michael Miano I will copy and paste to you what I replied to William Bell in one of his recent videos: -- Let me give a summary of what I think Paul believed and you tell me where you disagree and why: 1) All men were in bondage to sin. This means they were physically alive but spiritually dead. 2) This included all people from Adam to Moses before the law was given (Rom 5:12-14). 3) Therefore, it is both Jew and Gentile (Eph 2:1-6) who were spiritually dead in sins and is not covenantal death. 4) A believer could receive help from the Holy Spirit by faith in Christ (Rom 8:1-4) but they would still have their struggles with sin and had to work at it (Rom 8:10,11,13) 5) This was because of the weakness of the physical body/flesh (Rom 6:19) 6) Therefore, the physical body needed to be changed because flesh and blood could not inherit the kingdom at the Parousia (1 Cor 15:50-55) 7) The Parousia would bring a perfect state for believers with their new spiritual bodies that were immortal and sinless 8) Rom 8:18-23 when It says "creation" is not referring to OC Israel but the physical universe 9) We know this because the "creation" was subjected UNWILLINGLY (Gen 3:17, Rom 8:20) but Israel entered the Old Covenant WILLINGLY (Exo 24:7-8) 10) Therefore, Paul believed at the Parousia that flesh and blood bodies would not exist anymore and the physical creation would be perfected as well. I noticed you didn't deal with the Noah and Lot argument I presented because it obviously does not fit the siege of Jerusalem (Luke 17:26-29, Matt 24:27,37) -- Just to let you know Michael, William ignored this comment after replying to my previous comments. I believe the reason he ignored it is because he does not have an answer for it. I noticed that you ignored the "oikoumene" argument that I presented in this video as well. This proves that Luke thought the entire Roman Empire would fall at the Parousia. Also, you ignored the Noah and Lot argument, just like William, which the siege of Jerusalem obviously doesn't fit and certainly didn't happen to the Roman Empire either. If you would be consistent and hold the NT writers accountable for what they said then you would know the Christian god does not exist. Like William and most Christians, I don't think you are emotionally able to bear that truth. I wish you well nevertheless.

Another overgeneralization strawman argument from this guy is that "Full Preterists say (Luke 21:25) And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; that's apocalyptic language for the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD" Oversimplification: No, not all Full Preterists say this was ONLY ABOUT the destruction of Jerusalem. These events concerned the Israelites being crushed throughout the "Oikumene" Roman Empire. NOT JUST JERUSALEM. Also, Ethnos is NOT LIMITED to 1 definition and/or meaning. Stop oversimplifying things to prove your agenda. Astounding.
