What is the Body of Christ?

Preterism sounds really nice. But I have some questions. Why wouldn't God have let the world know Jesus already returned and the Kingdom is fully here though? Why does it take a few preterists to tell us? Where are or were the prophets to tell us? Where is the scripture to tell us? Moses easily had signs and scriptures. Jesus easily had signs and scripture written about him withing 60 years. No scripture from God to tell us he came all ready? It would have been so easy. Not even one? Not even one prophet? We were just all left to fend for ourselves and figure this out? Of course thats possible but, has this truly truly been considered? Where is the resurrection? Jesus resurrected bodily. Where is our resurrection? Was it just for him [not according to Paul]? Jesus said his disciples would sit on 12 thrones judging the 12 tribes when he is finally installed as king on his Fathers throne [Jesus in the New Testament had never got to sit on his Fathers throne, instead he had sitten down on Gods throne until his Fathers throne was ready for him. Please show me otherwise if this is incorrect]. Jesus said we would inherit the earth/land in the Kingdom [Matthew 5:5], when did that happen? Paul said in the Kingdom we, the church, would judge the world and even Angels [1 Corinthians 5:1-5], when did the church ever do this? I know some things are not meant to be taken literally, but some are though. What is the criteria for taking every single Kingdom of God text "spiritually" instead of also literally? Matthew 25:34 - when did this happen? Or this Matthew 26:29? Luke 13:28. Acts 1:6, when did this happen? 1 Corinthians 15:50, no one can enter the kingdom without being their resurrection immortal bodies. We never had a resurrection as far as I'm aware. Ps - Jesus says, at the end of the gospel, how their *will* be signs that we can spot to know the Kingdom of God is near. In every synoptic gospel as well, Luke 21:31.

People who can not divide the old from new testaments surely can not divide anything else in the Bible. Jesus explains why they didn't recognize his coming, because he blinded them. Makes me wonder if you still try and fullfill the law? Do you keep Sabbath? Do your good works follow you?

The religious leaders and almost all the people missed the first coming of Jesus because it didn’t fit their plans. Is it possible that Christian theologians, church leaders and most Christians have done the same and missed the second coming?? Might be! Might also be that we haven’t missed it but that all of our plans all of our theology about the second coming including this view fall short of what’s really happening because we try to bring God down to our level and think we can understand his plans. Paul reminds us that we see in part and know in part and see dimly. (I Corinthians 13:9-12) our minds cannot comprehend God’s plan for us. It’s beyond our comprehension. (I Corinthians 2:9) Thru the Holy Spirit it’s been revealed to us that God has a great plan so we trust. My hope is not in an escapist rapture mentality. My hope is in overcoming mentality.

If we spiritualize bible passages to teach what we believe, it is misleading. If the bible says he is coming, and every eye shall see him, and we give this a different interpretation, it will result in confusion.

In Genesis 32:29 He would not tell Jacob His name. In Judges 13:17-18 He told Manoah His name is a secret. At the very end of the Bible, at Armageddon, in Revelation 19:12 He still has this unknown name. It is His "new" name. It is the name of God that He will write on us after His return (Revelation 3:12). In other words, this new name is not in the Bible and will only be known once He returns. Here we sit 1,954 years after 70 AD and not a single preterist can tell you what this new name is. And not one single preterist calls Him by any other name or title than the ones in the Book. Paul likened preterism to gangrene and he threw men out of church and called them blasphemers because of it. Don't be like Hymenaeus.

Recently I have come across this channel and a few others where folks have denounced Jesus Christ after "following" Him for years and years. One thing I found in common among these folks who have denounced Christ after "following" Him is they are very sensitive to any comment that points to the notion that they may not have truly known Christ if they claimed to "walk" with Him but now deny Him. Seems like at their initial denouncing of Christ, they typically throw cold water on the notion they may have never known Him. So......... If you once knew Him and worshipped Him for "years", but now you say He does not exist, then does it not become obvious you never knew Him? How could you have truly known and worshipped Someone that you now claim does not exist? This could be the case, they never knew him. But....... Scripture (2 Peter 2:20-21) is clear that some people do have the knowledge of the truth of Jesus Christ and even with that knowledge, they will fall away from Him. So we know this type of person exists, one who may have known Christ yet denounces Him later. The same scripture also tells us that if you did once know Christ and you denounce it, your future is very, very dark. In fact, it says that if you once knew Him and walk away, you are more dark than someone who has never known Him at all. Think on that......

If you loved Jesus with all your heart and I’m assuming had a relationship with him and felt him in your heart, how do you reconcile that in your heart he wasn’t real? How does that type of intimate relationship with Jesus get nullified because the Bible proves he isn’t real? I’m not asking you in a manner to attack you or defend my beliefs. It’s a question I am pondering myself because I really do feel he is real in my heart. I have felt that since I was little. But I question much of what the Bible says. What if he is real, but much of what we have come to understand from scripture about him has been altered. We know man has changed scripture. That is a fact. I believe he is Gods son and I believe he was sent and died and rose exactly as it states in scripture for us. I believe in heaven and hell and the devil and demons. And I believe we are in the time of the devil being unbound to deceive the nations. I believe in Jesus teachings about having a relationship with the Father based on love and respect, how we should treat each other and how we should conduct ourselves. However, not all of scripture I agree with or makes sense. My life and my experiences are my greatest teacher. It has shown me that the supernatural realm is real, demons are real and this world is not what I was taught to believe it was. And the Bible is not what I was taught to believe it was. In my opinion, Partial Preterism best fits scripture. It puts us after the 1000 years and in the Short Season; in particular at Revelation 20:7 and 2nd Esdras 11:32. Chapter 11 proves that we are in the Short Season. It depicts a line of US presidents, two of whom will be kept until the end, the day of judgment. Look at the first chapter of the Bible to see how God defines the words, "Heaven" and "Earth". God calls heaven the expanse between the waters that remained on the earth and the waters that were lifted. God calls Earth the dry land that He made to appear. To get a new heaven and a new earth, you have to get rid of the dry ground and the expanse.
