There don’t have to be absolutes for a society to be kind, considerate, and helpful, to one another and their neighbors. The Christian notion of Divine Absolutism is rooted in the core belief of human beings being divinely imperfect, “sinful,” and flawed. The “Apple Story,” is, at best, a fable designed to instruct, but falls short due to its inherent mythological nature. We of the modern world, though we may practice some form of religion, prefer scientific fact, and observation to explain the actual physical world itself. Divine moral absolutism is, at best, an anachronism that should be done away with and replaced with some more realistic scenario that we are inexperienced creatures on a path of wisdom through gained experience.

There's an immediate flaw here: PALMS are not wood - Google it! Proverbs3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not on your own understanding.6 In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and HE shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes:fear the Lord, and depart from evil." The issue is - how do we know that we are not being deceived if we're trusting in our 'feelings' as if our minds can't be corrupted - I mean- how self righteous is that? Romans3:10 "There is none righteous, no, not one:11 There is none that understands there is none that seeks after God. Romans1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools..." etc Hey - I've only just discovered how wonderful and true The Word is- it opens up a whole world of clear thinking! The truth sure does set us free. I pray that all our eyes are opened to truth in the mighty name of Yeshua ha Mashiach, our Lord and Saviour Jesus the Christ.

I have asked this question a few times in different comments sections and I understand that this is not the topic however sooner or later I'm hoping that someone will actually answer my question. Here's my question: Is the earth stationary or are we moving through space?? I am told that the Bible states that we are stationary on the Earth. But a lot of people don't believe that, and I'm wondering if you do? And if you do, will you please let me know right now. Thank you.

@@leroyjenkins3744 perhaps it is annoying to be told that if you lie you are a liar, if you have stolen something, you are a thief, if you used God’s name in vain, you are a blasphemer, if you look with lust, you are an adulterer, and that if you are guilty of these things, or any other sin, you are deserving of eternal punishment in hell because you sinned against an eternal God, and no good works you can do can save you, as it would not work in a court of law, nor would it work with God. But the good news is that God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die, and be raised again. The wages of sin is death, but Jesus came and paid the fine, it is why He said “It is finished” before He died. It’s like if you are in court with a bunch of speeding tickets and someone else pays your fine. All we have to do is stop sinning (such as stop giving into sinful homosexual abominable behavior) and trust in Jesus Christ to save us. Not because we are good, but because He is good. People don’t like being preached at because their conscience is guilty. I’ll still try to find a way to preach it to my extended family somehow, and if not, I think God will reach them through other means. Thanks for your opinion, it makes me feel better! 👍🏻

Explain the beauty of math for me. Explain how math, a concept without a true physical form, has beauty. Explain how the universe follows the laws of mathematics so perfectly. And before you say that humans made it that way, think about this: we can’t create laws of math, because no matter what, two things plus two things is four things. How do you explain that? God. Period.

@@cameronmartin6528 I'll begin with rebutting the end. If there is no explanation as you appear to be asserting, why does that equate to god? Why is the beauty in math? I'd suggest it's the same as how we are attracted to all types of 'beauty' it's symmetry, balance and proportion that we are driven to admire, it's in our nature. We attribute beauty. Laws of nature.... Why or more pertinent, how would anything exist outside of the laws of the physical realm in which it resides? Which leads us back to your god. Who, I assume you believe exists outside of the laws of our universe. But with no plausible description or any evidence of it's existence..

''People are fascist today.'' And creationists are excellent examples of that. They're the one's trying to water down science just because religious ideology isn't science. They're the one's pushing legislature to take people's rights away. Specifically the rights of gay or trans people, but if creationists had their way I have no doubt they'd make their countries fully into christian nationalist states where society has to be 100% homogenous and have no room for people who aren't straight, cis-gendered christians.

Well, here's a question: why do you (the video presenter) have mammary glands and nipples? Another one: if god made man in his image, does that mean he has mammary glands and nipples too? Another question: Why would god have mammary glands and nipples? Or does "in his image" not really mean "in his image"? After the failure of the Garden of Eden, why did god wait for two thousandyears to get mad and wipe almost every human off the face of the earth. Why did he also wipe almost all of the animals off the face of the earth? Why did he use a flood when we know he just "spoke" humans into existence. Couldn't he just "speak" them out of it again? And the hundred of billions of animals that were drowned, what did they do to anger god? Yes, there are questions...lots of them.

For crying out loud. If you're having a thanksgiving meal and someone brings up a topic which divides the table - be a peacemaker, enjoy the family time you have, don't turn it into a culture war. By all means engage with the topic AFTER thanksgiving but don't ruin everyone's day by turning a family gathering into your own personal pulpit. And if an "unbeliever" is engaging with you - DON'T quote the bible at them because they don't care. It has no weight in an argument with someone who doesn't believe it. All 3 of these pieces of advice given in the video also work against you! If you ask questions, so can they! If you claim their beliefs are assumptions, they can claim the same about yours! If you go to the bible to quote something, so can they! Thanksgiving meals with family should be about building relationships and mending bridges, not scoring points. You don't need to vigorously defend yourself every time someone disagrees with your religious views - you can agree to disagree for the sake of harmony and unity which is a MUCH more powerful statement than being a fundamentalist 24hrs a day.
