It has been said, that the "way we live our lives might be the only Bible some might ever read"..I find this saying to be true, in witnessing my grandmother ceaselessly upon her knees praying unto her God until osteoporosis didn't allow her to, and witnessing my "uneducated" grandfather, who only had a 3rd grade education ceaselessly reading his Bible and taking notes. I still have one of his notebooks bearing his sometimes hard to read notes..I thank God that these "seeds" took "root" in my life..as it was my grandmother who initially "instructed" me into the reverent "fear" of the Lord, which is truly the beginning of Wisdom and knowledge. God bless.

@@anyone9689 Chances are you are a slave to someone. If you work an 8 to 5 job then you are a slave and must answer to a higher authority. If you act out of place, your masters have a right to discipline you. It wasn't that long ago when corporal punishment was used in the military and public school system in America and even to discipline one's children. The Bible is actually restricting what masters can do to their slaves, not entitling them with impunity. The Bible does not at all describe the evils of American slavery. Colossians 4:1 says, “And masters, treat your servants considerately. Be fair with them. Don't forget for a minute that you, too, serve a Master-God in heaven…” This verse says to treat them well, so the beating in the verse you supplied refers to a response to a culpable offense. Masters are commanded to respect their slaves. You failed to mention Exodus 21:16, which says, "Anyone who kidnaps someone is to be put to death, whether the victim has been sold or is still in the kidnapper’s possession." The capture of kidnapping and selling another into slavery was prohibited. 1 Timothy 1:10 is a clause, but it makes the point. It says, “…for adulterers, and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers-and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine…” This expressly says that slave trading is contrary to sound Christian doctrine. The Bible is against American slavery. Slavery in the Bible was only allowed as indentureship for someone to pay off one's debts or as a prize of war, which, war is war. It was either slavery or annihilation when it came to war.

Man (Adam and Eve) were not the only fallen. What about the fallen created spiritual beings? The fact that the modern Church has de-supernaturalized scripture leaves a lot of unanswered questions for those who come with questions regarding the the spiritual realm and that de-supernaturalization really cheapens scripture such as Genesis 6:1-4, Psalm 82:1 and Ephesians 6:10-12. Some churches have gone to the extreme of denying the actual existence of Demons, Satan and Hell. Then, on the other hand, some see demon possession at every turn, and even believe in the demon possession of true believers, which is unbiblical. As for the actuality of the "giants" (Nephilim) in scripture, I find it most interesting that not only the Church tends to brush over the facts, but the Carnegie foundation since its inception had been gathering up giant skeletons that they hid away while they proudly display dinosaur skeletons. Interesting.

@@Moist._RobotSanta Claus doesn't have any historical basis in reality. Unlike mythology, the Bible has a historical framework. Its characters are real people living in verifiable locations during historical events. The Bible mentions Nebuchadnezzar, Sennacherib, Cyrus, Herod, Felix, Pilate, and many other historical figures. Its history coincides with that of many nations, including the Egyptian, Hittite, Persian, Babylonian, and Roman empires. The events of the Bible take place in geographical areas such as Canaan, Syria, Egypt, Mesopotamia, and others. All this certifiable detail refutes the idea that the Bible is mere mythology. Unlike mythology, the Bible has many confirmations in sciences such as biology, geology, astronomy, and archaeology. The field of biblical archaeology has absolutely exploded in the last century and a half, during which time hundreds of thousands of artifacts have been discovered. Just one example: at one time, skeptics used the Bible’s references to the Hittite civilization as “proof” that the Bible was a myth. There was never any such people as the “Hittites,” according to the science of the day. However, in 1876, the first of a series of discoveries was made, and now the existence of the ancient Hittite civilization is well documented. Archaeology continues to bolster the Bible’s historicity. As Dr. Henry M. Morris has remarked, “There exists today not one unquestionable find of archaeology that proves the Bible to be in error at any point.”

@@Moist._Robotand...... Unlike mythology, the Bible is written as history. Luke wrote his Gospel as “an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us . . . just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses.” Luke claims that he had “carefully investigated everything from the beginning” and so wrote “an orderly account . . . so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught” (see Luke 1:1-4). Did Luke include miracles in his account? Yes, many of them. But they were miracles verified by eyewitnesses. Two thousand years later, a skeptic might call Luke’s account a “myth,” but the burden of proof rests with the skeptic. The account itself is a carefully investigated historical document. Unlike mythology, the Bible contains an astounding number of fulfilled prophecies. Myths do not bother with prophecy, but fully one third of the Bible is prophecy. The Bible contains over 1,800 predictions concerning more than 700 separate subjects found in over 8,300 verses. The Old Testament contains more than 300 prophecies concerning Jesus Christ alone, many with amazing specificity. Numerous prophecies have already been fulfilled, and they have come to pass precisely as foretold. The mathematical odds of someone making this number of predictions and having every one of them come to pass are light-years beyond the realm of human possibility. These miraculous prophecies could only be accomplished with the supernatural guidance of Him who sees the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:9-10).

I was considering ICor3:6,7 (verses at end) the other day, and I had a thought. I wondered is there was someone who first tills, because broken soil is more conducive to planting. Then I remembered, God that prepares the heart. He gives us repentance, and how does He break up the soil of our hearts? He breakes them. He breaks up the soil, just as any farmer must break the spil for the seed to take hold. This is, I think, why God loves a broken heart. ICor3 6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. 2Tim2:25 in meekness instructing those in opposition. Perhaps God will give them repentance, that they may acknowledge the truth, Psalm51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Hey, kid! I'll prove evolution! Read this if you're not insecure about your faith. Picture an arctic island. On the island there are white foxes and brown foxes who are in the middle of the food chain. Which ones are more likely to survive? White foxes, obviously, because their color makes it easier to hunt and to hide from predators, so eventually the brown foxes die out and the white foxes propagate. As that happens over and over again over many generations, animals become more and more suited to their environment and given enough time eventually diverge into multiple species. If you have half a brain and eyeballs in your head this process is common sense. Things that are more likely to live, you know, live. If you don't believe that, you have some serious brain rot and should probably reexamine what fundamentalism has done to you.

This is just a sermon. I was born into the Christian family and raised in the church. I always thought of evolution as an atheist excuse to disavow God. I’ve had some very good arguments with evolutionist, I had a girlfriend that was an teacher at UC Davis, we had many good discussions. On a lot of things I think she was right, except she could never answer one question. Where are all the transitional animal fossils? Not just human, but everything. For everything that exist now there has to be many millions of fossils of that creature that did not succeed. There should be millions of fossils of things that are almost a bird, things that are almost a bat, things that are almost a platypus, things that are almost a kangaroo, but all the fossil records show them fully formed as they are now. I find these videos to watch and hopefully learn. If I was to have a discussion with somebody else, I definitely would not send them to this video, it’s just a sermon and it does not answer any questions. Trying to discount the theory of human evolution by pointing out that one Mexican family has hairy bodies is weak at best.

@@LordMathious leads me to more questions. For every animal we have now, there would have to be millions of examples them didn’t make it. For example, when Edison invented the lightbulb, he had over 100 attempts that failed. That was just a man in a few years inventing a lightbulb. Evolution had millions of years, to form millions of different branches of every species that did not succeed. It seems the fossil record would be exponentially full of failed transitional animals than fully formed animals.. My friend used Archaeopteryx as an example of transitional, but they still exist as the Hoatzin.

@@CryptidWalks I absolutely love that you're skeptical and actually open to receiving information. Here's a few transitional fossils, for when you feel like looking some stuff up. Tiktaalik Tiktaalik lived approximately 375 million years ago. Paleontologists suggest that it is representative of the transition between non-tetrapod vertebrates such as Panderichthys, known from fossils 380 million years old, and early tetrapods such as Acanthostega and Ichthyostega, known from fossils about 365 million years old. Its mixture of primitive fish and derived tetrapod characteristics led one of its discoverers, Neil Shubin, to characterize Tiktaalik as a "fishapod." Unlike many previous, more fish-like transitional fossils, the "fins" of Tiktaalik have basic wrist bones and simple rays reminiscent of fingers. They may have been weight-bearing. Like all modern tetrapods, it had rib bones, a mobile neck with a separate pectoral girdle, and lungs, though it had the gills, scales, and fins of a fish. Pakicetids, Ambulocetus The cetaceans (whales, dolphins and porpoises) are marine mammal descendants of land mammals. Ambulocetus; Although they are found only in marine deposits, their oxygen isotope values indicate that they consumed water with a range of degrees of salinity, some specimens showing no evidence of sea water consumption and others none of fresh water consumption at the time when their teeth were fossilized. It is clear that ambulocetids tolerated a wide range of salt concentrations. Their diet probably included land animals that approached water for drinking, or freshwater aquatic organisms that lived in the river. Hence, ambulocetids represent the transition phase of cetacean ancestors between freshwater and marine habitat. Amphistium Amphistium is a 50-million-year-old fossil fish identified as an early relative of the flatfish, and as a transitional fossil. In Amphistium, the transition from the typical symmetric head of a vertebrate is incomplete, with one eye placed near the top-center of the head. Paleontologists concluded that "the change happened gradually, in a way consistent with evolution via natural selection-not suddenly, as researchers once had little choice but to believe." I wish you the best ^^

@@CryptidWalks Another way of analyzing creationism is with genetics. For example, Eve was formed from Adam's rib suggesting the male Y chromosome was removed, and his X chromosome duplicated to differentiate Eve's gender with two X chromosomes. Unless additional genetic modifications were made such cloning implies Adam and Eve shared a high degree of genetic relatedness--practically fraternal twins of the same flesh. The next question regards the central biblical proposition the entire human population was started with just two people--Adam and Eve. So following this model, if one pair of fraternal twins were the last survivors on Earth could they produce a genetically viable long-term population? Even assuming Adam and Eve were not related and had full genetic diversity still requires explaining how a long-term genetically viable population arose from just two individuals. Such a proposition is indeed possible by means of special pleading, but impossible based on genetic limitations of inbreeding. Creationism should strive to demonstrate how its own propositions are true rather than debate how evolution is false. Burden of proof equally applies to creationism and evolution. Thoughts?

@@jasonborn867 I’ve had discussions about the inbreeding aspect of Adam and eve. What I was taught is that they were both created by God, one. From the dust, one from the rib, they had the purest form of genetics, imbreeding wouldn’t be an issue, yet. They had three sons, Cane, Able and Seth. The Bible says Adam lived to be about 900 years old, so he could’ve been procreating for quite a while. There’s also another book of the Bible, that’s not canon, that it talks about Adam having a wife before eve, but she would not submit, so God cast her out of Eden. Her name was Lilith. Reading the Bible, you realize women descendants are not important, or rarely mentioned. So, Adam could’ve had many daughters, and there was likely other sons. The time from Adam to Noah was about 2000 years, and in that time they could have procreated quite a large population. I’ve seen families that in one generation had 30to 100 people/descendants. Multiple wives, procreation with daughters. They usually hang out in Utah. that said, Adam and eve’s story, according the Bible was 6000 years ago. That I also read archaeology magazines and websites, they are finding human habitation going back almost 20,000 years. I am fascinated by the ruins they found in Turkey, Göbekli Tepe. They dated it about 12,000 years. So I have gone from pure creationism to on the fence. Another discussion is the vastness of space.

paulogia came up with a good way to explain evolution to the folks who "don't get it" - it's like language, latin is the common ancestor to italian, portugese and spanish, but at no point did a roman give birth to a spanish speaker, romans only begat romans (!) words got added to latin and words became redundant until it evolved into spanish, spanish, italian and portugese are all "cousins" like humans and apes, and "if spanish is evolved from latin, why is there still latin" - why are there still apes, the answer should be obvious, latin did not have to "become extinct" for spanish to evolve.

I find it to be an insult to be called an animal since humans are created in the image of God, God put us in command over animals which is why Adam was able to name all the animals when he was living in the Garden of Eden. We as humans need to understand that we are special because God saved his best creation for last and that was us being human beings created in his image. Everyone of us were created differently, no two people are alike like every snowflake arent alike and there is no one out there just like you which is why God gave everyone a purpose. This is why I'm thankful for being a human being and created in the image of the Almighty Creator. A human can speak their mind, we have thoughts, feelings, emotions, we can express love towards one another, God gave us a soul, and we are able to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

But also contrary to everything I just stated, it was Christians who created & ran these human zoos, far before Darwin published anything about evolution. With the main point of them being to demean these groups to savages who’s way of life had been cast out by god. You can claim people after the fact used evolution to reenforce these zoos, but it’s wasn’t the foundation or even the main factor. Even then evolution shows genetically we are 99.98% the same to each other, & that racism is dumb.

The Guilt of Mankind 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man--and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Just to give you some perspective, you can tell whether an animal was omni, carni or herbivore based on just a couple teeth. You criminally underestimate just how much those 4 bones tell us. You should learn just a little bit more than just looking up the bones and criticising experts in science who studied biology for years in university, and then continued to study it throughout their career 😊

Believers shouldn't be doubting the Bible. They should be doubting the interpretation of God's Word being fed to them by ignorant preachers. Evolution's an established scientific fact, maybe not as well understood as the Theory of Special Relativity but more than proven by a mountain of evidence so large that a lifetime is needed to make even a dent in it. When your childish interpretation of the Holy Bible contradicts reality, then it's way past time to rethink your interpretation. The problem here isn't the Bible. It certainly isn't God. It's you.

I always hear that we cannot understand the suffering Christ went through, but I don’t think that’s true. Ask God for understanding! I believe God wants us to understand because He wants us to appreciate what His Son was sent to do for us. I suppose it makes people feel as though they are being humble to say we cannot understand. My father in law once called me arrogant to claim I could understand God, but it was vain. God asks us to understand.

This guy doesn't even make it 90 seconds into the video without lying. He and other creationists have repeatedly told the lie that mutations only lead to disfunction. This is not even remotely true. Two separate examples in humans are lactose tolerance and skin color. Lactose tolerance is a mutation that improves chances of survival by increasing the number of food sources. Skin color is a mutation that gives survival advantages in both directions. Darker skin gives better sun protection, while lighter skin improves vitamin D production. Another example that happened right in front of your eyes is COVID-19. The successive chain of mutations caused the virus to become both less lethal and more communicable. Both of which improve the chance of its survival. A dead host is no good for the virus, and the advantages of being more communicable are self-explanatory.

People who are taught they are nothing but sinners, will behave like sinners. This video presents a nonsensical argument. You don't need the Christian scriptures or the Jewish scriptures to draw the morally correct conclusion that all people are equal in their humanity. In fact, both Jewish scriptures as well as Christian scripture have been interpreted as not drawing that conclusion. In that respect, Judeo-Christianity is no different from the non-religious errancies of our past. However, the great difference between any faith-based worldview and an evidence-based worldview is that the former will not be able to correct its mistakes if and when they are discovered, while the latter will. On a different note, the whole concept of sin is non-sensical. There is no way God could not have known that Adam would sin before creating Adam. Therefore, Adam sinning must have been part and parcel of God's plan. Also, it is grievously unjust to make Adam's children suffer for the sin he committed. Finally, there is no known or valid mechanism by which the suffering of another being can compensate or atone for your or my transgressions. That simply does not work. Just like it is silly to have somebody else sit out your prison sentence, or to believe justice is done when somebody else takes the place of the murderer in the electric chair.

@@bryguy8203 You said: _" Forced love is not true love."_ And you you cannot choose to love. In addition, giving us the knowledge of hell is a form of coercion by God, and withholding sufficient objectively convincing evidence of his own existence from people like me, who can only accept things on evidence is equivalent to forcing them to not believe. And why would a deity demand "love"? That seems irrational. You said: _"Adam chose and so do we."_ Not sure what you mean. Adam by definition did not know right from wrong, so he did not have the ability to make a correctly informed choice. Moreover, he was created by an all-knowing deity who must have known what he would do, which makes this deity the author of whatever he did. On top of that, as Adam himself said, he didn't know what he was eating; he just ate whatever his wife put in front of him.
