It is only worth what someone will pay for it.❤

There's no rhyme or reason, one would think such a painting much more valuable...

The auctioneer cut it off too soon...you think it was rigged?
@lwaliz
@lwaliz 2 ай бұрын
@@manifestingbeautifullife2187 No, I did not think it was rigged, but then again I am not one for conspiracy theories even if that could be a possibility. It all might depend on how much marketing effort was done by the auction house to drum up interest from bidders, the season, etc., thus resulting in a skewed valuation of the artistic/historic merit.

Not really there were literally tens of thousands of paintings done of Elizabeth the First. Damn near every country house extant to her lifetime had one and Gower was not and is not a popular artist.

Research has shown that people who prefer iPhones to Droids tend to be worse with money, among other things. Also, just fyi - there are a lot of Android phones that cost more than an iPhones - not that the cost of something is always linked to how good it is. People who think iPhones are the end all and be all because they are expensive don't know much about tech OR money.

I don't know, because they're not breaking any laws? There's a lot of history owned by individuals. You can't just go in someone's house and take it. How many things do so many museums have in their inventory that aren't even out for anyone to see?
